I suppose that's an acceptable answer

2020-11-20 16:34:03 UTC

I know that it’s a demonination, but how is Lutheran different from other denominations?

2020-11-20 16:34:15 UTC

He didn’t want us to fall into sin. But God won’t force them to not sin. That would take away free will

2020-11-20 16:34:24 UTC

Fair enough

2020-11-20 16:35:37 UTC

It’s like current laws; technically you could go and shoot your neighbor, but you shouldn’t

2020-11-20 16:35:55 UTC

That would be bad

2020-11-20 16:38:30 UTC

Other denominations don't have satirical YouTube channels. https://lutheransatire.org/

I will give you the same answer Doctor Strange gave to Tony Stark: There was no other way.
To maximize the best outcome in an infinite branch of possibilities, the best outcome is that He allows evil, but He allows evil because He allows the freedom to accept or reject Him. The entire point of the Gospel is that we learn to love God and be loved by God and that requires agency, and a choice of genuine authenticity. Also, the classic answer to your question is literally found reading Romans Chapter 9.

I'd like to apologize for my post from 3 days ago implying that all Christian furries are unrepentant homosexuals. There are actually *two* types of Christian furries.

Ok probably no one is- but is ANYONE HERE a believer in the New Covenant (not new testament)? So kinda like a messianic Christian but not a nut? 😆 Ok to be clearer: is there anyone here that believes that the Old testament still counts, that there is grace and truth, and that the "law" (which means instructions) is put in place by God because he loves us? And that Jesus/Yeshua died not to replace the law but fulfil it?

2020-11-20 16:50:37 UTC

So you mean Messianic Jewish believers?

2020-11-20 16:50:52 UTC

Messianic Jews are literally Christian Jews.

2020-11-20 16:51:02 UTC

You know, like Paul and Peter.

2020-11-20 16:51:06 UTC

And the 12 apostles.

2020-11-20 16:51:19 UTC

yes-

2020-11-20 16:51:22 UTC

but no-

2020-11-20 16:51:44 UTC

No they are not- lemme explain what I mean real quick please

2020-11-20 16:52:15 UTC

I mean I'm not Jewish descent but there are Messianic Jews out there. Not sure if in this Discord but many Christians do think that the Old Testament is relevant, at least on the universals like do not murder nor steal.

2020-11-20 16:52:59 UTC

but also yes they are (haha). "christian jews" usually believe that the Torah is done away with and that you can eat whatever you want because only certain things in the old testament apply.

2020-11-20 16:53:13 UTC

messianic means they still believe all of that

2020-11-20 16:55:19 UTC

the WHOLE Bible. Yes- the things for the priest's don't count anymore, but that is because Jesus came and was the ultimate priest. We come to Him for forgiveness now, instead of making an sacrifice. Yes- we are not in Israel so we cannot do somethings...

2020-11-20 16:55:46 UTC

Uh, no. The ceremonial laws are not binding and Messianic Jews know this. They, like all Christians, are bound by the New Covenant prophesized on Jeremiah 31.

2020-11-20 16:56:29 UTC

anyway I didn't come here to argue. I was merely wondering if anyone else believed like that- 🙂

2020-11-20 16:56:38 UTC

Well idk.

2020-11-20 16:57:34 UTC

Oh well! It's alright. It's enough to know that other people on here believe that Jesus is the Messiah. 🤗

2020-11-20 16:59:33 UTC

Yeeeeaahh.. Imma disagree with that furry. There's a huge difference between a Christian struggling and wanting to avoid homosexuality and one that is openly practicing it. The latter is not really consistently Christian nor is properly one. The former is basically the Christian lifestyle: struggling and fighting their sin nature.

2020-11-20 17:00:36 UTC

What about the one who refuses to draw dragons? Kind of the opposite extreme.

2020-11-20 17:01:17 UTC

How is refusing to draw dragons in any way affects one's position about Jesus and His teachings?

2020-11-20 17:01:40 UTC

I mean I haven't drawn a dragon since I was like 12 or so.

2020-11-20 17:02:03 UTC

But it's kinda stupid to think drawing a dragon doesn't make you a Christian.

2020-11-20 17:02:20 UTC

This person seems to think drawing dragons is inviting the demonic. The same person chewed me out for creating a kitsune character because those are "demonic", too.

2020-11-20 17:02:35 UTC

Yeah that person is cringe.

2020-11-20 17:03:16 UTC

("Kitsune" is the Japanese word for "fox", and in English often refers to either fox spirits in Japanese folklore or furry characters based thereon, often with multiple tails.)

2020-11-20 17:03:44 UTC

I know what a kitsune is, don't worry.

2020-11-20 17:04:19 UTC

I have a Christian furry friend with a dragon character *and* a kitsune character. He's also straight, so I guess there are technically at least three types of Christian furries.
