I thought fellow Christians could give the best advice
no he meant to say was our topic
I could only assume that she perhaps thinks this is a far less toxic section of Discord in relation to other parts concerning masks.
aahh
Got it, I was on the line of the fact that covid is not a faith based discussion
And this is open to all faiths, not just Christians
Gotcha
There do happen to be a lot of Christians on here though 🙂
I figured my question fit here best XD
*Shocked gasp* Really? I wouldn't have guessed there were many Christians here... Great Scott!!!!!
i am only 3 days new in this server..... and in this section majority i see are Christians
I'm sure there are some Jews, agnostics, the occasional Muslim, we allow all the faiths, as long as they aren't nuts
Ummmm...... define "nuts" lol
elaborate pls
Why would someone have to wear an id around their neck at school. Sounds sketchy. I would question it. There is no good reason for that.
I mean. I taught preschool at a christian school.
An example of nuts would be Aztec religion involving ritualistic cannibalism in human sacrifice.
Mo-me that is why I'm like ... hmmmmm
Religious nuts of any faith that take it over the edge, and they aren't willing to hear people disagree with them, just cuz it makes the discussion spiral and turn super heated
I have never heard of a school requiring that ever. A pandemic shouldnt change that
Been there, not done that.@Dstar_Destroyer
Yea, I don't debate well.
I'm like. Nope.
Debates can get very toxic. Just 2 nights ago I got called a racist.
And this isnt a place for debate, its just a room for faith based discussions or quotes from their holy books
Well you are a Smurf
True.
I've seen someone ask a question about God in here, then criticize and refuse any answer that had God in it..
We live in mushrooms. We're bound to be a little loopy
Some people are like that, and we try to stop those discussions before it gets to heated
Anyone ever read the spiritual man by watchman nee?
Cause I’m reading it right now, and it’s really good.
The issue I find with some, not all, people who are anti-religious is when they ask me what my faith does for me. When I answer "It gives purpose in an otherwise pointless existence", the normal response insinuates that I am either akin to a child who doesn't want to grow up and get rid of his imaginary friend. Another response is so loaded with arrogance it's stifling. The assuming that I am enslaved, chained by our faith. That they, the non-religous, are somehow "better", as they are "unshackled". I try to avoid people like that.
@Milkgamer55 Haven't had the chance to read it.
Or they say it is a crutch
@KaywinnitLee That too.
Honestly my studies show that religion is a great motivational thing and can do alot for people
My studies being my love of history
Jesus is my crutch
Lol Jesus is my iron lung
