If my memory is any good the notion of purgatory is originally from Dante's Inferno. It's been a while for me since I studied it though.

First of all we have to acknowledge that Jesus is God. Second we have to acknowledge that God can and will forgive but He must also be just. This means that someone had to take the punishment in order that we could be forgiven

Humans can’t pay off their debt, because no human is perfect, only Jesus is

The thing is that you hurt Him more by not accepting than you do by accepting. Also, by not accepting you work against paying your debt rather than amending it

Thank goodness Jesus came to provide a way for salvation

We are flawed as humans, Christ came  mercifully as a servant to lay His life down to take the sins of the world

We are all equally far from perfection. It’s an all or nothing scale and that can’t be changed

That’s what Jesus came to destroy, that’s basically what Judiasim is, but God sent Jesus to be merciful to us

in Buddhism, there are 7 layers of hell. there is a list of all your sins and you went through all the punishments, paying for it. it might take decades and decades, but eventually you'll reincarnate.

Sin is like a jail cell, the cell feels nice and warm inside, but when jesus comes back the cell closes and you face judgement

Jesus took the weight of every sin, descended into Hell, and took back they key to Hell.

Christ was sent as a humble servant who is perfect to die for our sins and take them up on himself so we can have eternal life with him. The reason we were punished like we were in the garden is because only perfect people could dwell in there with God, but God do not for sake us, God still loved us so he sent his son like He promised in Genesis

God had to bear all of it for you he took all your sins and for gave them

Sin is not like a jail cell lol, if you wanted to compare it to something pleasurable I’d say it’s like a bathtub, the first ten minutes feel good and then it begins to suffocate you and drain the life out of you

commit less sins. don't veer toward the 7 purgatory traits

Only through Jesus does one receive salvation
