Yep and Jesus instructed us on how to present the gospel. Go to peoples homes. Knock on their doors. If they invite you in, have supper with them. He said all of this to illustrate the importance of building a relationship before you present the gospel. Otherwise people just dismiss you. What do I care what some@random stranger has to say about things after all?

If you really feel called to help people understand then you should think of discipleship as more of a mentor program than mass communication. Talk to people one at a time. Show that you actually are invested in them. Otherwise your message is just spam.

The need to be right for self righteousness sake is pride. But if your heart is in the right place you will want to follow Gods precepts for His sake. To bring honor and glory to Him. Not just so you can be on the right side.

Close. The point is we are all sinners and are all doing something wrong. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are doing the same sin, but that you are a sinner. The most important commandment we are given is to love the lord thy god with all your heart and all your mind. And the second commandment is like it which is to love your neighbor as yourself. So this is why we must be gentle when talking to people. 1 John instructs us to speak the truth in love. Yes! We are told to speak the truth. But! We must do it lovingly. Not accusingly.

Mark 12:30-31 is the reference for the first and second commandment text I listed if you wanted to know.

This is the one from Ephesians about speaking the truth in love and why we are to do it. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:14-15
