Catholics confess to a priest who is supposedly their connection to God. I pray directly to God and ask for forgiveness (although confessing to others is good to).

Christians confess to God directly. Only He can forgive you for your sin. But it is good to confess to people that you can trust.

The problem with debate, is that it can (and frequently does) get out of hand really quick. I can agree with the diversity (since no one should be afraid to *CIVILLY* discuss their beliefs) but debate is a breeding ground for argument, which is not good for anyone.

I had a few Muslim friends growing up, their families were some of the nicest people I've met. I dont think that Muslims should be treated as harshly as they are. I may not believe exactly the same things, but it doesn't stop me from being respectful.

There are extremists in every religion, but we shouldn't judge everyone based on the extremes.
