Be careful what you wish for. It's all very real

The problem with debate, is that it can (and frequently does) get out of hand really quick. I can agree with the diversity (since no one should be afraid to *CIVILLY* discuss their beliefs) but debate is a breeding ground for argument, which is not good for anyone.

i agree

What should I do if my friends are worshiping false gods (Allah) don’t ask me why I just don’t know what is going on.

2020-12-27 17:56:29 UTC

I'm guessing they don't read their own scriptures...(ur guess is as good as mine). Here's a hadith (Sahih Bukhari) about their alla, with reference if they want to look it up themselves. 👇👇 @slogs

im just gonna throw my 2 cents in here real quick

2020-12-27 18:39:39 UTC

A LOT of quran translations are bad and some people purposefully miss translate them to make muslims look bad

2020-12-27 18:40:14 UTC

same way the word pedophile was replaced with homosexual in the holy bible

2020-12-27 20:13:59 UTC

Can you send me some info on this? I have always searched for alternative meanings but haven’t seen this before

2020-12-27 21:42:26 UTC

yeah sure

I had a few Muslim friends growing up, their families were some of the nicest people I've met. I dont think that Muslims should be treated as harshly as they are. I may not believe exactly the same things, but it doesn't stop me from being respectful.

There are extremists in every religion, but we shouldn't judge everyone based on the extremes.

2020-12-27 23:49:05 UTC

I used to have a Muslim friend. He was really nice. Then I changed schools xD

2020-12-28 01:14:54 UTC

Lol

2020-12-28 02:46:57 UTC

exactly

2020-12-28 02:47:12 UTC

You seem very intellegent

2020-12-28 02:53:45 UTC

I like to think that how I was raised has something to do with it. I have been able to experience a great deal in my life, visiting many different countries and experiencing different cultures. Experience breeds understanding, and though some things seem strange at first, I try to be as repectful as I can in any scenario. Often it leads to new insights and perspectives that can enhance, not destroy my own culture and beliefs.

2020-12-28 03:27:51 UTC

The website seems very reputable, it has all the reputable hadith collection of Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and some others that they consider reputable schollars, have a look for urself (I'll link it below), if it "purposely makes them look bad" why hasn't it been corrected? Strange huh...🤔

2020-12-28 03:33:34 UTC

or maybe you are taking some scripture of theirs out of context?

2020-12-28 03:34:05 UTC

I posted the link. Quoting it verbatim.

2020-12-28 03:34:51 UTC

The context is all there.

2020-12-28 03:35:29 UTC

and im reading

2020-12-28 03:54:02 UTC

It seems to me as if the passage is alluding to a non-believer telling Muhammad that she believes he's been forsaken. If that were the case, then yes, it follows logic that a barb directed at the worshipped diety would be inserted into her remark, hence her saying "your Satan has forsaken you".

It would be similar in the Bible to when the Jews claimed that Christ used the power of Beelzebub to work His miracles. They didn't believe that He used the power of God, so they instead attributed it to be the devil.

Even in modern times, we can see examples of men labeling as evil that which is good, and labeling that which is truly evil to be good.

2020-12-28 04:28:06 UTC

Yeah, we have something along those lines in our bible .

The word pedophile was not replaced with homosexual

2020-12-28 05:18:09 UTC

Pedophiles didn't even exist back then

2020-12-28 05:18:26 UTC

People were seen as adults in their mid-teens

2020-12-28 05:19:39 UTC

All of Jesus's disciples were anywhere from 14 to 16. Except for Peter, he was already married and was probably early 20s

2020-12-28 05:25:11 UTC

😂

2020-12-28 05:25:54 UTC

The entire culture back then saw teenagers as adults

2020-12-28 05:27:36 UTC

If we look at leviticus 20:13 it refers to "males", as a gender. Here's what the hebrew lexicon says.

So, old or young...both off limits. In leviticus 18:22 here's the hebrew lexicon for it. 👇

We do have this as emphasis to how much pedophilia is condemned in the new testament.

Why do you think it is, that even thought bible describes angels as golden rings of eyes, to animal faced cherubs, we still think of them as winged humanoids?
