@cruzzzer
Fantastic!
I learned on one.
How do you like it?

@pelunskii wolf
Dish soap and warm water with a soft bristle brush (ex: toothbrush) works decently.
Considering how caked that is, you'll want to spray white vinegar on it first and let that sit on the chrome for 15 minutes.

2020-10-10 21:05:02 UTC

10-15 minutes.

2020-10-10 21:09:00 UTC

And instead of spraying the vinegar, you may want to rub it onto the chrome.

You may want to look into Krud Kutter too to get the primary crap cleaned off and then follow up with the soap and warm water.

@thecraftydragon I feel good now knowing that my brother can't pick on me for not driving stick anymore lol

2020-10-10 23:56:08 UTC

@cruzzzer
Excellent.
Plus if you need to rent a car and the only available rentals are manual transmissions / sticks, you're not s.o.l.

2020-10-10 23:56:49 UTC

Next up, unless you already know how, are motorcycles. 🏍️

2020-10-10 23:57:03 UTC

🛵.

2020-10-11 00:02:24 UTC

You can typically rebuild manual transmissions in your garage fairly easily if you have a press and some mechanical skills

2020-10-11 00:02:39 UTC

Even the simplest of automatics can be a nightmare

Years ago, 1980's when I was racing built up a couple of rock crushers. Easy to do with proper tools.

2020-10-11 00:46:11 UTC

@ThatShadyVandal , what is the install?

2020-10-11 00:47:44 UTC

You know, in another month, I'll have had this project for a year

2020-10-11 00:49:46 UTC

Great project; good to take time, lots of pics, making sure everything is correct.

2020-10-11 00:50:00 UTC

How's the engine? Numbers?

2020-10-11 00:50:09 UTC

Oh, this thing is so far from original

2020-10-11 00:50:36 UTC

Yeah?

2020-10-11 00:50:37 UTC

Engine is a cobbled together 350 with a 1970 block, mid 60s heads, winters foundary manifold, headers, holley double pumper

2020-10-11 00:50:46 UTC

The transmission is out of a 1970 car

2020-10-11 00:50:53 UTC
