I finished my lego darth vader mosaic! Over 8k+ pieces!
For those of you who have used it, is Fimo polymer clay durable?
Also, polymer clay is always so hard to find on Amazon, besides Sculpey (which I've had bad experiences with).
Depending on how much you need, what you're making, etc. you can buy plumber's epoxy putty in hardware stores. Works like regular clay, although you have to get it shaped fairly quick.
It is sandable, carvable, and dries hard without cracking.
That sounds like it might work really well for certain projects. Generally, how expensive is it? do you know if it can be painted?
It's about three or four bucks a package, and it can be painted.
I'll run upstairs, get a picture of the package.
Cool, thanks!
Welcome!
Invader zim, nice
Woahhhh
Where can you buy that putty?
And could you use it to make a mould of something?
I buy it at my local farm and feed, in the plumbing section, but Ace hardware also carries it. I wouldn't be surprised to find it in the plumbing section of Walmart. I don't know of larger amounts, since it's primarily used to stop small leaks and seals in pipes. I've never tried to make a mold out of it. @NightBear
Still the base to do but he's getting there
I thought the base was done. Sort of like an urban graffiti look.
Nah lol that's just me testing out paint opacity
@DishonoredRonin thanks for the info mate π

@NightBear Welcome. Wish I had more, but that's what I know.
Well a little bit of knowledge can go a long way! :)
I'm using that putty to weld together a Cloud Car and an X-wing into a gunship.
Nice!
Thanks!
