@mightytrump by the way, that was said by a cop who worked closely with my family (paraphrased

2021-01-02 19:25:54 UTC

but who knows, I’m not a cop

2021-01-02 19:25:55 UTC

If you want to see some graphic violence look up ms panda den on the youtube

2021-01-02 19:25:56 UTC

Domestic abuse does need a cop otherwise the social worker will be dead

2021-01-02 19:26:12 UTC

Such as a cop on standby?

2021-01-02 19:26:15 UTC

yeah

2021-01-02 19:26:17 UTC

duh

2021-01-02 19:26:19 UTC

Those are the most dangerous calls

2021-01-02 19:26:25 UTC

you need diffent tools in tandum

2021-01-02 19:26:41 UTC

I’m not surprised domestic abuse are one of the most dangerous calls

2021-01-02 19:26:43 UTC

I don't see the problem with police using it. You might have an argument for how much manpower police respond with, but if we want to keep our cops not dead in a ditch we give them the tools to defend against crazies who always try bad stuff

2021-01-02 19:26:49 UTC

So how do you get more tools by defending them?

2021-01-02 19:26:55 UTC

Defunding

2021-01-02 19:26:58 UTC

It’s not like they are gonna bother listening

2021-01-02 19:27:27 UTC

I've seen a good amount of body cam footage, of cops helping people with that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2jekvQ76mw

2021-01-02 19:28:09 UTC

yeah, cops good, thats true, but like reform is good to

2021-01-02 19:28:22 UTC

Reform to strengthen police, not weaken them

2021-01-02 19:29:22 UTC

I think a lot of it is more so an individual level as suppose to the police

2021-01-02 19:29:33 UTC

sure, but stregthen through reform, that demilitairzed humaises and brings down the unexcusable murders commited by the few bad apples

2021-01-02 19:29:47 UTC

strengthen them physically AND mentally

2021-01-02 19:29:53 UTC

@2Lazy2BeOriginal YES, but how do we combat them

2021-01-02 19:29:54 UTC

YES!

2021-01-02 19:29:57 UTC
2021-01-02 19:30:42 UTC

That I don’t know we could do a regular check but what’s stopping them from lying or something

2021-01-02 19:30:59 UTC

How would reducing the force a cop can use, cut down on the one bad case?

2021-01-02 19:31:27 UTC

I mean there are videos of cops using too much force although idk how much the videos leave out

2021-01-02 19:32:23 UTC

racial training, scriter punishment for misuse of force and breacking of doctorine, limit any gun, but say a revovler to a more specailized unit, also, great talk, gotta get some lunch

2021-01-02 19:32:54 UTC

See ya

2021-01-02 19:33:06 UTC

You always get Twitter clips of cops restraining someone, as if it's a bad thing. They also leave out the past half hour cops are waiting for them to stop screeching and answer their questions (or the cases where they babble and don't comply like George Floyd)

2021-01-02 19:33:10 UTC

I doubt racial training is actually gonna make a difference

2021-01-02 19:33:24 UTC

Whatever happened to MLK's adage?

2021-01-02 19:33:37 UTC

Judge by the content of character and not the color of skin

2021-01-02 19:33:58 UTC

Unless it’s been done, I think cops wouldn’t target a specific race

2021-01-02 19:34:01 UTC

Bringing race into the equation is so unbelievably counterproductive, and turns off your brain too

2021-01-02 19:34:23 UTC

Granted I could be giving them too much credit but if a police calls them to a place, it isn’t racially motivated

2021-01-02 19:34:28 UTC

Are we talking about "Racial issues" today?

2021-01-02 19:34:54 UTC

Yeah, about the invented racism.

2021-01-02 19:35:07 UTC

Guess we are now

2021-01-02 19:35:18 UTC

It’s also hard to determine what is too much force, like sure bearing up for mask mandate sucks but if your were attacking them than it’s justified

2021-01-02 19:35:19 UTC

police brutality (i think)
