When I used to work for a cable company, I used to encounter a lot of what we called "Welfare Queens"
man, you cant even qualify for welfare if you have a couple thousand in the bank where i live, even if youre out of work and CANT work.
10 kids with different dads
Same here, Wardog.
There were very few things that were as puzzling and annoying as someone in a crappy apartment that clearly didn't work that had like 4 70 inch TVs
i wonder, if you transferred all your money to someone you could trust under the notion of something like "paying rent" could you get in trouble for that with the government if you applied for government assistance? because now you dont have any money or assets to prevent you from getting welfare.
There the child care scams to
That’s how some people think life is supposed to be like lol. I will never understand it
You could, Wardog, but if you get caught doing it you're in trouble.
@DishonoredRonin @Wardog. I could only imagine that would be something close to tax fraud. Something like that I’d assume
When a family lives in the same house and the state is paying a family member to watch the kids they live with and the parent doesn't even work.
i dont know man, i knew a lot of people on welfare who say they "just fudged it" and got away with it. not just a couple people, but dozens of them. im not the kind of person to want to risk going to jail. some people dont have a problem with that or being dishonest.
@DonkDonkJuanHundo Oh, it's illegal, but I've heard of it being done.
As with all thing @DishonoredRonin
Things
I want more stimulas package!
I want to go back to work. I used to work my tail off, and when I came home I was dog tired, but I knew I'd given it my all.
Well why don’t you just go work up 5 trillion dollars and hand us all a massive stimulus check. Jk lol. I havent really thought a wholw lot about it. I have a really good job by some people’s standard (I’m a chem. Engineer) so i haven’t really worried about it. That’s just me though
Sitting at home with no schedule eats at you.
So I saved up a bunch of money to buy a vepr 12 and now everywhere is sold out of em
(Well, it does *me*, at least...)
i can relate imajica. youre not alone.
i wish i could get a decent job that didnt fuck me up. i really dont care about making tons of money, you know? just something i can do that doesnt make me want to shoot myself. theres not a lot of opportunity for that sort of thing near me. not having a car makes it harder as well.
Hell, I'd do charity work if I could. At least I wouldn't feel useless.
@Wardog. Depending on the area you live in, there could be great jobs. I work at a refinery and it’s a pretty stable job. I know there are lots of them in the US. That’s really the only stable, good paying job I’ve had. The only thing i can relate to
yeah, i just have issues that make holding a stable job difficult. trying to fix my situation, but it really isnt easy.
I haven’t lived in the real world for a very long time, so i have 0 advice lol.
i havent either if im honest.
"The Real World!: A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there..."
@Wardog Maybe you could try making a police or military career, if you are still young enough. They both have decent retirement and will definitely help to get a better job. That’s the only thing i could think of to fully straighten you out and get you on a path to success. It’s typically 20 years, but hey, it’s something. @DishonoredRonin so true lol. It’s not fun
You could always learn to code. There are a decent amount of free programs that teach you at least the basics.
I mention that also because you can usually work from home or for yourself if you're coding
i tried to get into a military career straight out of high school. obviously didnt end well. at this point i wouldnt even be able to qualify for that anymore. my personality would severely conflict with trying to be in law enforcement as well... especially with all the shit going on.
Yeah being a cop is definitely not something I'd recommend right now lol
@mikeflarkin. The online world is also pretty goo because no one can judge you for your mistake or what you’ve done.
I feel really bad for the friends and family members I have that are police officers
I live in a small town, so it’s actually pretty good here. I can’t say the same for others though
me too. i support police, and i definitely think we need them, but sometimes i wish all police officcers would just quit so they wouldnt be subject to such horrible treatment, and also punishment for simply doing their jobs.
@Wardog. That’s part of it, like it or not. That’s the real world, sadly
It wasn't always though
