@Wardog Maybe you could try making a police or military career, if you are still young enough. They both have decent retirement and will definitely help to get a better job. That’s the only thing i could think of to fully straighten you out and get you on a path to success. It’s typically 20 years, but hey, it’s something. @DishonoredRonin so true lol. It’s not fun

You could always learn to code. There are a decent amount of free programs that teach you at least the basics.

2020-07-13 17:52:32 UTC

I mention that also because you can usually work from home or for yourself if you're coding

2020-07-13 17:52:38 UTC

i tried to get into a military career straight out of high school. obviously didnt end well. at this point i wouldnt even be able to qualify for that anymore. my personality would severely conflict with trying to be in law enforcement as well... especially with all the shit going on.

2020-07-13 17:52:53 UTC

Yeah being a cop is definitely not something I'd recommend right now lol

2020-07-13 17:52:57 UTC

@mikeflarkin. The online world is also pretty goo because no one can judge you for your mistake or what you’ve done.

2020-07-13 17:53:06 UTC

I feel really bad for the friends and family members I have that are police officers

2020-07-13 17:53:36 UTC

I live in a small town, so it’s actually pretty good here. I can’t say the same for others though

2020-07-13 17:53:42 UTC

me too. i support police, and i definitely think we need them, but sometimes i wish all police officcers would just quit so they wouldnt be subject to such horrible treatment, and also punishment for simply doing their jobs.

2020-07-13 17:54:12 UTC

@Wardog. That’s part of it, like it or not. That’s the real world, sadly

2020-07-13 17:54:22 UTC

It wasn't always though

2020-07-13 17:54:37 UTC

True

2020-07-13 17:54:42 UTC

yeah. which why i wish i could do that job, but i wouldnt be able too, which makes me respect them even more.

2020-07-13 17:54:54 UTC

I hate all my bosses so I would prefer to work for myself in a perfect world... But I sort of hate that guy.too

2020-07-13 17:55:06 UTC

Corrections officers make a decent amount of money, and it's similar to law enforcement

2020-07-13 17:55:25 UTC

"God my boss sucks." - me on my first day working for myself.

2020-07-13 17:55:46 UTC

lmao

2020-07-13 17:56:08 UTC

...1 PM? I need to eat.

2020-07-13 17:56:09 UTC

@mikeflarkin. Yeah, my mom, uncle, and nana were all correction officers and also have a retirment good too. Idk, just suggestions

2020-07-13 17:56:11 UTC

You also can't use the "I wish I could, but I can't, I have to work" excuse to get out of awkward family gatherings.

2020-07-13 17:56:24 UTC

LMAO

2020-07-13 17:56:44 UTC

i dont have any family anymore, and they havent invited me to a family gathering for years. even when i was still part of it.

2020-07-13 17:57:05 UTC

@Wardog. Oof, sorry for that

2020-07-13 17:57:17 UTC

I love/hate our family gatherings

2020-07-13 17:57:24 UTC

i never liked them if im honest.

2020-07-13 17:57:27 UTC

I get along with most of my family, but the ones that I don't I really can't stand

2020-07-13 17:57:31 UTC

Definitely would miss them tho.

2020-07-13 17:57:44 UTC

the majority of the family i have left alive is on my father's side, and me and my father were NEVER on good terms throughout my entire life.

2020-07-13 17:58:52 UTC

I have a bunch of libs on my dads side who are kinda crazy. Those are the only ones who are even close to being not able to get along with. @Wardog. I can’t imagine my life without my dad. We were and still are best friends

2020-07-13 17:59:36 UTC

i wish i had that opportunity, my father never wanted any of that. most all of my family is pretty hard right as well. one of the only ones i know of that isnt is a cousin that got a bit indoctrinated by liberal college.

2020-07-13 17:59:43 UTC

so its definitely not politics.

2020-07-13 18:00:00 UTC

My parents were always conservative, but they never pushed it on me or anything.

2020-07-13 18:00:08 UTC

i think there was just a game of favorites. me and my mother always got the short straw, little bro and dad were always held in the highest regard.

2020-07-13 18:00:17 UTC

same, mike.

2020-07-13 18:00:24 UTC

they really werent political with me or around me

2020-07-13 18:00:28 UTC

i got into politics by myself

2020-07-13 18:00:47 UTC

@Wardog. If he didn’t do that, then that’s not your fault. He didn’t parent you good enough to be best friends with you. Just don’t blame that on yourself if anything. I know you didn’t, but...

2020-07-13 18:00:52 UTC

Yeah, the closest my parents came to being political is them always watching Fox

2020-07-13 18:01:39 UTC

@mikeflarkin. My parents are about the same. I still am super excited to talk about politics. I just live it, and they were never very hard core about it

2020-07-13 18:01:59 UTC

i think my father was more of a materialistic kind of apologist. never once did i hear sorry or comforting words from him, it was always do something shitty, offer the family to go out to dinner or something. i dont blame myself for it really, but sometimes i feel incredibly guilty thinking about the way i feel about him, but the way he still supported the family financially

2020-07-13 18:02:07 UTC

I think my parents were also careful with what they said since they worked for the NSA lol
