It just takes awhile

Most of my trains run except for two...

The 1948 Lionel Santa Fe F-3 diesel my grandpa had as a kid still needs work...

And then there’s the Hornby 0 gauge train I had imported from England hoping to convert it from windup to electric because of it’s broken spring and worn out gears.

I turned up the speed and it went flying of the rails at a corner

Luckily it still runs

Here’s the 1948... My grandpa who owned this passed away and I’m resorting it in honor of him.

The horn, E-unit, and second motor are out.

The new gearing with the electric motor is pretty hard but the wiring is all sorted out.
