I dont have the box thanks to my aunts dam cats

The cow catcher was replaced with running boards made from popsicle sticks and trimmed nails, the headlight was moved to the top and was made using a bike tire cap, the hole where the headlight used to be was filled in by a plastic nail cap, repainted and weathered with rust and coal dust, whistle and safety valve are old rivets, string to the bell and whistle are stripped twist tie, side tanks are from a broken cassette player, ash pan was made from a broken MP3 player pocket clip, and the fire box contains a dim red lightbulb.

Nice train set!

2020-08-18 02:52:13 UTC

It’s more from the dark age of Lionel but a good set.

2020-08-18 02:52:31 UTC

Yeah

2020-08-18 02:53:19 UTC

You can keep it the way it is, but customizing it could be fun.

2020-08-18 02:53:26 UTC

My great uncle got it from someone at work

2020-08-18 02:53:40 UTC

Awesome!

2020-08-18 02:54:28 UTC

Does it still run?

2020-08-18 02:54:38 UTC

It doesnt have everything

2020-08-18 02:54:44 UTC

Yeah it does

2020-08-18 02:54:52 UTC

That’s good.

2020-08-18 02:54:54 UTC

It runs

2020-08-18 02:55:03 UTC

It just takes awhile

2020-08-18 02:55:32 UTC

Most of my trains run except for two...

2020-08-18 02:56:45 UTC

The 1948 Lionel Santa Fe F-3 diesel my grandpa had as a kid still needs work...

2020-08-18 02:58:45 UTC

And then there’s the Hornby 0 gauge train I had imported from England hoping to convert it from windup to electric because of it’s broken spring and worn out gears.

2020-08-18 02:59:04 UTC

Can i see

2020-08-18 02:59:16 UTC

I could try.

2020-08-18 02:59:44 UTC

Also my great aunt has a Christmas lionel train

2020-08-18 03:00:01 UTC

Almost broke it

2020-08-18 03:00:11 UTC

When i was younger

2020-08-18 03:00:39 UTC

I turned up the speed and it went flying of the rails at a corner

2020-08-18 03:01:04 UTC

Luckily it still runs

2020-08-18 03:01:26 UTC

Here’s the 1948... My grandpa who owned this passed away and I’m resorting it in honor of him.

The horn, E-unit, and second motor are out.

2020-08-18 03:02:12 UTC

2020-08-18 03:02:25 UTC

Aww

2020-08-18 03:02:28 UTC

Its smaller

2020-08-18 03:02:32 UTC

And same actually

2020-08-18 03:02:40 UTC

The light and first motor still work.

2020-08-18 03:03:30 UTC

The electro coupler needs rewiring.

2020-08-18 03:04:21 UTC

What about the other train

2020-08-18 03:05:07 UTC
