My dad and I built a new front porch on his house this year. A neighbor asked if we had a permit. I asked if he preferred leaving toes up or down. That was the end of it.
i don't think i've reached the anarchist status yet, but i'm definitely closer to nihilist/pessimist than 3 months prior and certainly 1 year ago
people will automatically come together in smaller communities to organize and meet those needs, then. at least that's a theory anarchist offered (which, i think, makes sense)

yup. small towns are where empathy are fostered. not that cities don't have empathetic communities, but the "city syndrome" jaded us

I'd totally eliminate the NSA, and seriously reshape the entire FBI and CIA (No more FISA or Patriot Act stuff). I'd merge the State Department and Homeland Security into the Department of Defense, and rename it all to the War Department. Next I'd merge Agriculture and Energy into the Department of the Interior. I'd merge the Department of Labor and Department of Transportation into the Commerce Department too. Finally I'd merge the rest of the departments into Health + Human Services: Housing + Urban Development, Veterans Affairs. Oh and I'd flip the DoJ upside down
