We have next to no right to guns or free speech anymore. This protest is against the election results, but not just that. Its also against them taking away every other right we have.

You can express your rage without threatening murder or destroying property. If we were really at war, than maybe you could justify it to a point, but this is American on american violence.
edit: @ hype, sure, we have to fight for the things that are right, but we can still chose how we fight. I refuse to lower myself to the level of these people, nor will I resort to violence unless my fucking life depends on it.
