Hhh man thats sucks

I'm just glad America is becoming independent again when it comes to space travel. What barry did to close down NASA back in the day was a great blow to America's superiority, and we direly need that foothold back. Space is the next frontier, and we need to get out there!

2020-05-30 14:39:47 UTC

Yeah it was stupid to be dependent on other countries on this

2020-05-30 14:40:24 UTC

My Dad worked in the space program and was so devastated the day he told me that there is no future in space because US politics is abandoning it. However, today we are watching the launch (fingers crossed) together, Dad is 84 and slowly becoming optimistic again đŸ˜„

2020-05-30 14:40:35 UTC

pretty exciting!

2020-05-30 14:47:49 UTC

@Malady that's awesome! Almost made me tear up a bit to hear that!

2020-05-30 14:49:33 UTC

@Malady Cool

2020-05-30 14:49:50 UTC

Yeah its gonna be a whole new industry soon

2020-05-30 14:49:57 UTC

Space travel and all that

2020-05-30 14:50:30 UTC

When President Trump signed into law space force, I was soooooo excited!!!!

@Tyler Zed thank you for setting this up!!!

@beebarf the bard hey what's your opinion on a good age to start my daughter learning about gun safety and then shooting? Anyone else chime in of course. She's 8 and I want to have a firearm at home but not until I have her learn some basics. I was thinking 9-10 yr old generally is good - haven't gone to the nearest range yet to inquire, anyone have some thoughts?

2020-05-30 16:17:16 UTC

I don't know, we were wanting til 12 years old to even have the husband get his guns from his dad. Things have evolved.

2020-05-30 16:17:56 UTC

I gather from others that it also depends on the maturity of the child

2020-05-30 16:18:53 UTC

I was taught some basics probably about 6. I was in cub scouts so that was partially why but my family is also big hunters so I had been shooting 22s longer then I can remember.

@Malady

2020-05-30 16:21:05 UTC

mine has expressed a wish to start so I thought maybe the range has someone there who can at least talk to her and show her basics

2020-05-30 16:21:46 UTC

i don't think she's old enough at 8 to shoot

2020-05-30 16:21:59 UTC

but i have been known to worry lol

2020-05-30 16:22:26 UTC

That being said, while we got to go shoot guns fairly often, it was always drilled in the safety and the guns were kept lock in the safe when not in use. Can't speak for everyone's kids but for me being exposed young it prevented it from being forbidden knowledge.

2020-05-30 16:22:46 UTC

Everyone is different. Maybe see a firearms trainer if you can afford it?

@Stargatemaster96 That last sentence sums it up perfectly. Take away the mystery and all that stuff and there is understanding and respect.

2020-05-30 16:24:05 UTC

I could probably swing that - we moved to Arizona from California, and it's very different from my youth lol to say the least. She's expressed a wish for her first car to be a "big old truck" and wants to learn to shoot
