Ive been thinking

There are older games you cant find any way other than pirating because they long been off shelves and servers are shut down

And always online drm with micro transactions force some to pirate the games to punish the devs for such scummy shit

Which leads to more agressive anti piracy measures

So its a cycle

I mean, the devs make most of the profits in like the first year ?

there is no real excuse to pirate the game there (except you just don't want to pay for it xD
or you hate the publisher)

but sure if the scummy publisher or who ever is in charge of the servers disables them,
that actually reduced the value of your bought product,
they should make up for it in some way, i.e. releasing a no drm patch
and a local server, or whatever ...
