@Rossme It comes down to the politics behind it. It isn't about black lives and it never was - it was about creating a divide in order to overthrow the government. Marxism states that in order for progress to be made, the old government has to be thrown out first. Marx, who was ironically a racist if the rumors I've heard are true, believed that the lower group and the old group were divided based on class. BLM takes it a step further and makes it about race. If they can get people divided and angry enough, they think they can overthrow and replace the system basically.
