it would be a different situation

2020-11-22 15:15:54 UTC

@AJ I think it lies in nuclear power

2020-11-22 15:16:01 UTC

Me too

2020-11-22 15:16:07 UTC

It's not perfect

2020-11-22 15:16:13 UTC

but the best we've got

2020-11-22 15:16:15 UTC

@Smitty I think they have the potential too reduce emissions, but I think the real benefit is that no matter where you are (as long as you are prepared) there are always ways of generating electron flow; however, finding gasoline in the middle of nowhere is hard.

2020-11-22 15:16:16 UTC

Well, the worst part is, nuclear is very unstable in an automobile application

2020-11-22 15:16:32 UTC

Electricity lines

2020-11-22 15:16:36 UTC

shoukd be renewed

2020-11-22 15:16:46 UTC

So its either use the same batterys and use electricity generated by nuclear, or have a reactor in car

2020-11-22 15:16:51 UTC

The latter isnt safe at all

2020-11-22 15:16:56 UTC

short term high cost but otherwise we won't have cars even in 40 years

2020-11-22 15:17:07 UTC

@Phantom _Energy Yeah, but they reduce emission so little that there is barely any difference.

2020-11-22 15:17:18 UTC

No there shozldn't be a reactor inside the car

2020-11-22 15:17:23 UTC

@Smitty I agree

2020-11-22 15:17:33 UTC

It's not possible to build such a small reactor anyways

2020-11-22 15:17:37 UTC

The reason I say biodiesel is because we already have alot of vehicles running diesel, and biodiesel is completely sustainable

2020-11-22 15:17:59 UTC

@Smitty I just think they are more versatile in how they can be powered.

2020-11-22 15:18:13 UTC

If we could use the energy of nuclear reactors togenerate hydrogen from water , then we could use hydrogen as a fuel

2020-11-22 15:18:19 UTC

@[daddy]Adika He wasn't saying that. He was trying to say that the electricity would be powered by nuclear

2020-11-22 15:18:27 UTC

I see

2020-11-22 15:19:02 UTC

Awe dang. No fallout cars 😦

2020-11-22 15:19:04 UTC

You might not be able to put a nuclear reactor in a car, but you can use the electricity generated from a nuclear power plant to power an electric car.

2020-11-22 15:19:43 UTC

Yes, but then you still have the battery issue

2020-11-22 15:19:44 UTC

Ye. I always say nuclear power is the future. But people too scared of it. Cause Chernobyl and whatnot.

2020-11-22 15:20:00 UTC

Lithium batteries are awful for the environment to produce, and they don't last

2020-11-22 15:20:38 UTC

Or use Nikola Tesla's idea of distributing power wirelessly using tesla coils.

2020-11-22 15:21:19 UTC

@DJ Sullivan J.D Well, Chernobyl was created because they didn't have enough security, and the workers weren't properly trained.

2020-11-22 15:21:20 UTC

Eh, then all the rural areas get fukt

2020-11-22 15:23:23 UTC

Shitty communist reactor and whatnot. But is very big news. People might be scared cause they read about it. The technology has improved since then and our people are actually trained unlike the communists. So I don’t see the reason for fearing nuclear power, other than the potential damage it might cause. -_-

2020-11-22 15:24:08 UTC

Thats why people are scared of nuclear. Wide range effects if failure.

2020-11-22 15:25:03 UTC

@DJ Sullivan J.D Yeah, true. We also have walls around our power plants to prevent nuclear waste from spilling out just in case something bad happened.

2020-11-22 15:25:13 UTC

Nuclear power plants are relatively ancient tech created on analog systems, its really incredible how smart people *used* to be

2020-11-22 15:25:25 UTC

yes but with the new technology that we have, nuclear energy may not only be the best way to have energy, but also the best for the environment as long as they keep it up to code and secure

2020-11-22 15:25:34 UTC

But computers have made people pretty simple and stupid

2020-11-22 15:25:47 UTC

they have

2020-11-22 15:25:56 UTC

Hello

2020-11-22 15:26:09 UTC

hello Naylon

2020-11-22 15:26:25 UTC

Wasn’t the Moon landing computer(which landed the astronauts on the moon) less than a gigabyte?

2020-11-22 15:26:45 UTC

i think so???
