there's two types, thumb trackballs and finger trackballs, it's evenly split what people find comfy
but if you have a PC shop nearby with test models you could use that
I tried a logitech thumb trackball and the kensington
only big drawback is you need to clean the ball and the surface underneath every few days
but other than that I like it more than a normal mouse for browsing
