okay well I read what you article said, and there are several parts to dissect. The biggest of which is the USA has a Navy that is unmatched by any except Sweden and the only reason Sweden would get away with it is because they have an electric stealth submarine that no other nation has at this current time. China doesn't have this type of submarine and currently does not have the Naval capacity even with Russia to take on the Navy. It would take China, Russia, India, all of the EU, and most of the Middle East to Truly take on and defeat the USA due to the simple fact that US citizens own more guns than the rest of the world combine.

indeed. actually, if you press, many economists would say cutting china out (or minimizing china's economic trade role) is bad. china produces cheaper stuffs, so even though american producers are hurting, americans consumers benefit from it.

The clothes you wear, and even the plate you eat off won't be there because the USA produces steel, vinyl, and components. We don't have the processes to make a finished good anymore. We only refine.

The USA manufacturing world is in a sad state of affairs. Even 3M produces most of it's own stuff out of the USA.
