Do you have an organ donor's card?

2020-12-07 13:16:41 UTC

assuming that there would be some salvage as they eventually scrape you off the road

2020-12-07 17:21:14 UTC

Here's a few of my old bikes. I wrecked every one i owned by the busa, buell, and the klr

2020-12-07 17:23:20 UTC

And yes. I took it mudding, washed it, and sold that bitch the next day for 3400

2020-12-07 18:06:01 UTC

No . The thought of my organs in someone else creeps me out.

I've ridden almost every day year round since I was 17 and I'm now 35. I used to race but now I do track days instead of actual racing. Fun times.

2020-12-07 18:13:25 UTC

I have never seen so much blood after that event. Dude hit a tree at 55mph flew across the road 75 yards into a cornfield. No helmet shirt shorts. Ruptured aorta. Sad thing is he was going to sell it that day

2020-12-07 19:22:35 UTC

I'm in the minority that takes riding seriously and take all the safety precautions I can. I don't want to die or get permanently injured for a hobby

2020-12-07 19:35:55 UTC

@Thirsty_Fox I gave up bikes after my last accident on the internet. I was fine, ended up in the median in the water/ mud. But my bike basically vaporized.

2020-12-07 19:39:56 UTC

I don't blame you. I would too. I try to be exceptionally careful in the way I ride, what I ride, and the gear I wear... of course, the risk still exists

2020-12-07 19:41:42 UTC

I'm happy to say that none of my wrecks were my fault. Interstate was from a guy merging who didn't see me. 2 from grass in blind turns. 1 from a deer, 1 from a c turkey

2020-12-07 19:42:32 UTC

I've still got a really nice leather buell jacket i need to sell

2020-12-07 19:44:51 UTC

animals are probably my biggest concern here... lots of them, especially in the evenings. I do religiously wear high-vis vest (soon to be airbag vest), white full-face helmet, and full level-2 armor jacket and pants.. plus riding boots and gloves. Bike is bright red and has a really good lighting setup (two lowbeams, two highbeams, two running lights, and both amber lights always on)... two-channel ABS that works well. It does all add up. Getting high-vis gear was the best decision I've made

2020-12-07 19:48:51 UTC

My hi vis helmet was the best I've ever bought

2020-12-07 19:55:23 UTC

around here, 95% of riders are invisible and ride like pepegas. We're all shocked-pikachu when someone crashes at triple the speed limit. idk but we have to make an effort... relying on nothing going wrong isn't a good bet. Just my opinion.

2020-12-07 20:02:29 UTC

The red bike above? This is all that's left due to the turkey. I obliterated that thing

2020-12-07 20:04:51 UTC

heck of a turkey!

2020-12-07 20:05:07 UTC

but the only thing that matters is that you come away in one piece

2020-12-07 21:52:23 UTC

it do be like that tho

2020-12-07 21:54:30 UTC

I remember that my 1980's rocky turned off the rear lights when the radio was on AM

Cursed toyota window

2020-12-07 22:44:13 UTC

Come on, man!

2020-12-08 01:27:48 UTC

I wonder how the window ended in that shape

2020-12-08 01:31:09 UTC

the front of it has come off the fixture, tilting it down

2020-12-08 01:32:15 UTC

ohh... Thats interesting. Where can i learn more abour thoss details since i am more into plane mechanics than cars

2020-12-08 01:33:45 UTC

Can look up how power windows work... they aren't all the same, from what I understand. But in that photo, the pointy part of the glass is what would normally be in the top-right corner (when it's closed)

2020-12-08 01:34:10 UTC

looks like the glass has come unattached

2020-12-08 01:36:48 UTC

Thanks and yeah. It looks very silly but very cumbersome since you have a pointy and vulnerable glass rattleting around

Anyone here ever upgrade their batteries and electrical? I’ve thought about adding a battery for extended trips/over landing type stuff, but haven’t pulled the trigger

2020-12-10 18:47:31 UTC

@wlightnin41 i took the alternator out of a 99 ram & installed it on my jeep for more power. Then a large converter from harbor freight. I can run a mini fridge or a TV & Xbox no issues

2020-12-10 18:48:09 UTC

It's all about figuring out how much power draw you're going to have then making sure you can supply that

2020-12-10 18:48:56 UTC

I've also got a 9k pound winch, 2 light bars, and a cb.

2020-12-10 18:49:04 UTC

@TheMousez sweet, I would be installing it on an FJ cruiser.

2020-12-10 18:50:07 UTC

Winch is probably next on the menu
