I was just didn't want to unintentionally spread any comments about my beloved Confederate States of America in the presence of anyone who might be offended. (HA

I'm very naive when it comes to American History but really enjoy listening about war stories and how life was back in the days. I did asked someone about that Confederate flag because what I've heard from the left most of the time was what it represent and I couldn't figured out why people carry it proudly.

That was their battle flag. Many tens of thousands died or were wounded following it

Mmm wow that shed a whole new light to my very simple understanding. I always thought that the south wanted to keep slavery therefore fought the north who wanted liberty for the slaves. Now I know people who carry those flags today dont really wants slavery so when I hear of white supremacy and all that I'm confused.

There were already many thousands of free slaves in the South. All the European countries had freed slaves without wars
I, personally, believe Lincoln was insane -- he'd write poems about suicide and go on stretches of depression. His cabinet voted 7-2 to avoid war with the South but he then proceeded upon a manic-appearing binge of actions sure to cause the 2and half of the South to secede and begin the massacre
