Kinda reminds me of when the word gay became just a popular insult at my school for most people. Didn't matter what you were talking about or anything someone would just go "that's gay" when they disagreed or thought something was dumb, and it was the stupidest shit ever. The same way someone would say "that's retarded". Honestly it was really uncomfortable for me and a few other people but only one of the teachers even cared and gave the class a talk about it, granted nothing changed at all after that. It's one of those things that you can't really speak out about because nobody else cared and you would just be regarded as oversensitive/overreacting if you said anything
