It is airborne and droplet

2020-12-13 21:32:51 UTC

I never said a mask wasnt better than no mask, but unless its a respirator its ineffective at filtering the virus

2020-12-13 21:34:54 UTC

I can assure my mom needed a respirator....

2020-12-15 03:10:28 UTC

We don't use respirators here on the covid wards and we are fine

2020-12-15 03:10:47 UTC

If the disease was airborne, a lot more people would be getting it, and social distancing wouldn't work at all

2020-12-15 03:11:56 UTC

" Airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 can occur during medical procedures that generate aerosols (“aerosol generating procedures”).(12) WHO, together with the scientific community, has been actively discussing and evaluating whether SARS-CoV-2 may also spread through aerosols in the absence of aerosol generating procedures, particularly in indoor settings with poor ventilation."

2020-12-15 03:12:39 UTC

"Experimental studies have generated aerosols of infectious samples using high-powered jet nebulizers under controlled laboratory conditions. These studies found SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA in air samples within aerosols for up to 3 hours in one study (21) and 16 hours in another, which also found viable replication-competent virus.(22) These findings were from experimentally induced aerosols that do not reflect normal human cough conditions."

2020-12-15 03:13:54 UTC

A respirator would work in an environment where aerosols occurred, which doesn't typically happen even in normal hospital wards

2020-12-15 03:20:52 UTC

"TB bacteria are spread through the air from one person to another. The TB bacteria are put into the air when a person with TB disease of the lungs or throat coughs, speaks, or sings. People nearby may breathe in these bacteria and become infected."

2020-12-15 03:21:32 UTC

TB is spread without introducing aerosols that don't reflect normal human coughing conditions.

2020-12-15 03:21:41 UTC

That's a true airborne disease

2020-12-15 03:21:47 UTC

2020-12-15 03:24:19 UTC

Do you support private options for college as well ?

2020-12-15 03:24:23 UTC

Or only public

2020-12-15 03:25:02 UTC

I'm from Canada, we have all of those except for free college

2020-12-15 03:25:10 UTC

Free college only available for natives

2020-12-15 03:27:36 UTC

2020-12-15 03:27:50 UTC

m4a not so much, but more so pragmatic reasons/political

2020-12-15 03:27:56 UTC

So 100% funded by gov't?

2020-12-15 03:28:23 UTC

public option is similar to like Germany or France, granted in the us it would be somewhat different

2020-12-15 03:28:32 UTC

its a option

2020-12-15 03:28:38 UTC

if you want goverment healthcare you get it

2020-12-15 03:28:48 UTC

I'd want private school to be included as an option

2020-12-15 03:28:48 UTC

hospitals would still be private

2020-12-15 03:28:51 UTC

Doesn't mean it will be good but you'll get it
