Hey a best friend of mine several years ago like 10 published a poetry book that's very good and here's just one of the random poems I thought I would show you guys just tell me what you think of it there's plenty I could pick from but this one stands out for me today

LOVE AND REASON

Love says “Those who hold their tongue
Never gain the prize, and those
That hide away their secret song
Only sing of empty woes.”

So Love says, but Reason knows
“The black rose is alive, and Life
Is sometimes sweeter bathed in woes,
Than conquered by the goblin Wife.”

If anyone's interested he never really sold his book and he has several copies when I worked at borders years ago they were willing to carry his book but he was just lazy about it but if anybody wants one I could basically send it to you for free or whatever 10 bucks if that's cool it's a hardback at least

I just showed that because it's a buddy of mine poem that stood out for me especially the line loves much sweeter bathed in woahs than conquered by the goblin wife because who wants to be in a marriage where you're just unhappy forever and you're afraid to leave it so sometimes being alone and sad is much better I don't know maybe that's not exactly what I'm trying to say but mainly the gist

When I first started listening to him I was like wow that's just really makes a lot of sense the cool thing about Jesse is a lot of the things that I already thought especially the whole pacifier in black people's mouths and holding their hand is always something I was aware of I always knew they were capable they should have always known they were capable and some do no they have been especially the ones waking up now

But what drew me to him was Jesse is saying the things that I always thought there was never any need they've always been capable and maybe perhaps some white people wanted them to feel inferior if you want to call that racism because they were like holy shit these guys embraced Christianity they're stronger faster perhaps smarter and they freaked out so they made them feel inferior well that's just my opinion
