maybe

2020-11-06 01:35:53 UTC

And additionally what is your basis for saying he was carrying a firearm illegally? He was open carrying

2020-11-06 01:36:01 UTC

it is interpretable and probably has case law

2020-11-06 01:36:15 UTC

Robert has said that it would probably not be constitutional to make such an argument either

2020-11-06 01:36:19 UTC

That’s where we need Rob for some case law haha

2020-11-06 01:36:27 UTC

I think he said he didn't know offhand

2020-11-06 01:36:33 UTC

Robert brought up the constitutional response

2020-11-06 01:36:33 UTC

Oh okay

2020-11-06 01:37:17 UTC

if blue win, can I get political refuge in US?

2020-11-06 01:37:30 UTC

He was also retreating/fleeing by most reasonable standards

2020-11-06 01:37:31 UTC

Take my spot

2020-11-06 01:37:58 UTC

Who is He that’s retreating or fleeing?

2020-11-06 01:38:15 UTC

@xephael I agree

2020-11-06 01:38:24 UTC

@realz thanks for the link

2020-11-06 01:38:30 UTC

Appreciate That!

2020-11-06 01:39:03 UTC

I would say that curfew will be the underlying problem with the argument then.

2020-11-06 01:39:06 UTC

Rittenhouse has awful lawyers

2020-11-06 01:39:35 UTC

Technically it may be viewed as a criminal activity due to the curfew violation however the court of jurisdiction would be J&D

2020-11-06 01:39:41 UTC

> And additionally what is your basis for saying he was carrying a firearm illegally? He was open carrying
@LrnAshly Wisconsin law has a minimum age of 18 for firearms, with a possible exception for hunting, so it is unclear if it was legal for him to carry

2020-11-06 01:39:41 UTC

If he gets convicted it’s entirely on his defense team

2020-11-06 01:39:54 UTC

> if blue win, can I get political refuge in US?
@TomWiliam += One Past Last Jedi ?

2020-11-06 01:40:14 UTC

> If he gets convicted it’s entirely on his defense team
@Gypsy Yea Barnes constantly rails on them

2020-11-06 01:40:14 UTC

To purchase a firearm or maintain within ones possession?

2020-11-06 01:40:21 UTC

@LrnAshly the latter

2020-11-06 01:40:30 UTC

Ouch

2020-11-06 01:40:41 UTC

I've read the law and the exception for hunting

2020-11-06 01:40:44 UTC

I dunno what to make of it

2020-11-06 01:41:01 UTC

Well. I am gonna make the unpopular opinion then that he doesn’t have a claim for self defense

2020-11-06 01:41:36 UTC

with that logic though, you can find someone in breach of some law after they defend themselves 🙂

2020-11-06 01:42:03 UTC

Rittenhouse has legal aid offered by GOA (gun owners of america) and they're not exactly dolts

2020-11-06 01:42:30 UTC

I actually don't mind Destiny too much.

2020-11-06 01:42:31 UTC

@xephael the guys running it are the covington case lawyers

2020-11-06 01:42:44 UTC

He's not your typical demsoc, and actually has rational arguments.

2020-11-06 01:42:51 UTC

He's a libertarian leftist.

2020-11-06 01:42:56 UTC

@Maw omg I am still listening to this in the background no wonder I am irate

2020-11-06 01:43:20 UTC

I would argue that had he not been carrying out the crime of illegally possessing a firearm there would’ve been no need for self defense and technically if someone is in violation of the law requiring him to use self defense his violation is responsible thus he is

2020-11-06 01:43:35 UTC

He has been cast out from the left for his stance on Rittenhouse.

2020-11-06 01:43:45 UTC

Or rather, specifically the far left.

2020-11-06 01:43:52 UTC

How was him having the rife illegal?

2020-11-06 01:44:21 UTC

@LrnAshly I'm pretty sure that people carrying illegally, and use it in self defense, are routinely not charged for murder, but I dunno about WI
