Again, seems like a smart business move to me.

2020-12-14 01:26:30 UTC

except for customers like me

2020-12-14 01:26:39 UTC

who look for strength of character

2020-12-14 01:26:56 UTC

I dont agree or disagree. I just dont like people giving in to "pressure".

2020-12-14 01:27:04 UTC

Dont trust such people,

2020-12-14 01:27:37 UTC

alas, I do not reflect the average customer, so you are right @Maw

2020-12-14 01:30:18 UTC

I mean, they didn't really give in to anything, they made a clarification.

2020-12-14 01:30:30 UTC

Because people were forming a misconception.

2020-12-14 01:33:05 UTC

what did they say?

2020-12-14 01:33:42 UTC

did they say: "we are in no shape or form affiliated with Kyle Rittenhouse, except for the fact that he seems to like our coffee"?

2020-12-14 01:34:45 UTC

btw...They are missing a massive Business opportunity here.

2020-12-14 01:34:55 UTC

"Kylewear" would probably make him rich.

2020-12-14 01:51:59 UTC

They said we're not affiliated with him.

2020-12-14 01:52:03 UTC

Basically that's all.

2020-12-14 01:52:17 UTC

"We don't sponsor him nor are affiliated with him."

2020-12-14 01:53:52 UTC

that is fair

2020-12-14 01:56:09 UTC

They said nothing about what he did.

2020-12-14 01:56:23 UTC

They just distanced themselves from the idea that he was endorsed by them.

2020-12-14 01:56:59 UTC

The company was being threatened to loose all there financing and such.

2020-12-14 01:56:59 UTC

@Zerb, you just advanced to level 1!

2020-12-14 01:58:35 UTC

Here is a great video on the topic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ekwVPZZHtI

2020-12-14 02:03:35 UTC

Well they should distance themselves if they stand for law abiding safe gun ownership

2020-12-14 02:04:26 UTC

Agreed.

2020-12-14 02:04:47 UTC

What Kyle did was incredibly moronic, dangerous and illegal.... he should absolutely be punished. People are dead and he played at least some role in that happening...

That is not to say he needs to be convicted for murder or manslaughter or anything like that....

2020-12-14 02:04:55 UTC

What Kyle did wasn't murder, but it was really, really dumb.

2020-12-14 02:05:02 UTC

From all I have seen that was self defense

2020-12-14 02:05:35 UTC

I would not stop at dumb... it was also reckless

2020-12-14 02:05:44 UTC

I cover reckless with dumb.

2020-12-14 02:05:53 UTC

Ah, gotcha

2020-12-14 02:05:53 UTC

When it's not criminally reckless.

2020-12-14 02:07:18 UTC

Well... after watching the first witness in the PH I was satisfied that he will not be convicted of anything except some sort of possession of a firearm statute. Which will likely be a misdemeanor and can be expunged from his record after a couple years

2020-12-14 02:08:02 UTC

But we don't need to gloss over the fact that his stupidity played a role in people dying (of course the victims were also behaving in a very stupid manner as well)

2020-12-14 02:08:48 UTC

It may be expunged immediately since the charge was before he was 18.

2020-12-14 02:08:50 UTC

what is kinda annoying is that if not for all this press... I doubt he would get tried.

2020-12-14 02:09:01 UTC

So it could just be hidden from the record as the trial finishes.

2020-12-14 02:09:11 UTC

Possibly... some states make you wait until 21

2020-12-14 02:10:44 UTC

But we don't need to be trying to prop him up as some 2nd Amendment hero like I have heard some right wing people do... This was a sad mess all the way around

2020-12-14 02:12:12 UTC

For sure.

2020-12-14 02:15:18 UTC

I don't call someone a hero that I don't want to act as a role model for my kids.

2020-12-14 02:15:27 UTC

I don't want my kids doing that.

2020-12-14 02:16:17 UTC

1) Could have gone far more badly. 2) I don't encourage people to confront violent mobs of people with a gun, knowing what a likely outcome will be.
