its going to go to court
and a jury will decide
Justice just doesn't seem to prevail. It's always defense and offense. one word against the other. But you are right we will see
just how people can get off when they were guilty. you shouldn't be able to manipulate the law in this way.
well what you call justice another calls injustice, thats why we have an adversarial system
its not perfect but its the best we humans can come up with
agreed!
Ugh, let's just hope that minority report is the future haha
not! the future omg
Gross neglect can constitute a charge of murder.
depends on the state
but from what i remember they charged chauvin with 2nd degree which requires intent
ah no
apparently theres a culpable negligence clause
Yepper..
@Maw, you just advanced to level 31!
@nainani *"What other reasons than police brutality could he have trouble not breathing"*
its very hard to not breathe, isnt it?
@nainani generally, however, in medicine, we like t deduce that when someone says "I cant breathe" - that is a clear sign they are breathing.
In fact, when someone enters the ER and calls out "I cant breathe!!!" we look at eachother and go "well, thank god, at least he is able to breathe"
No, in regards to opinionitis now embracing both the election channel and general chat.
I understand that this is good for business, so I will join you in celebrating it.
Its just that I miss the law.
(that is me, personally. Opinions sell better than learning, of course.)
I get it, just keep in mind, as of yesterday I have to deal with a roommate that has covid, and potentially myself as well. I have a harder time keeping track of everything lately.
I did not know that, sorry to have bothered you with a detail.
And let me know if I can be of help.
@Maw March 13 for Breona -- tragedy, but she wasn't the angel people wish her to be.
@Roadtrek Girl, you just advanced to level 5!
@Doc said colloidal silver is the promised land. I mean, I have questions, but who could take exception to what the Doc says.
Doc never said that. Doc recommends Iron if doc is to recommend a metal!
silver is for the greedy, steel for the brave!
Point?
The counter example to @William Dinan theory that everything before the but is b*******. In this case the b******* came after the but.
A prime example to make a flattering statement prior to discussing true intentions? The "But" separates the Two.
Yikes.... I am so sorry. I was an early victim. Some fool crashed into a car in front of me sending them both off an embankment. Myself and another guy went down to help. An elderly lady was unresponsive in one car. Doors wouldn't open so me being the smallest guy I crawled in to unlock seat belt and help get her out. Turns out the fool driving her was rushing her to the hospital with what turned out to be CoVid. Unfortunately, she passed away.
I got it from that encounter and it kicked my ass. Im 25 and not in terrible shape, I swim laps almost daily, but wow did it do a number on me. I hope all goes well. Happy Thoughts To You!!!!
Yeah... those type of "buts" do little to disguise the true intent.... just like mine does little to disguise too many visits to the Cheesecake Factory @meglide and @William Dinan
Huh? Where have you been? There were major protests in 2016. This issues have been protested for years. What exactly do you think the NFL players were kneeling about?
It just finally got to a true world wide enough is enough point.
And not to be cynical, as I am absolutely a BLM supporter, the fact that so many people were laid off or furlough due to CoVid likely had something to do with the size of some of the protests. Just being real.
