That's badass. Unthinkable not so long ago.

2020-11-05 12:33:37 UTC

looking in from the outside i can see so much shady stuff in this us presidential election

2020-11-05 12:37:46 UTC

its also a climate where everything resembling shady gets over-expressed.

2020-11-05 12:38:54 UTC

a part of me is kinda of glad im not american, i see trump is trying to sue the 3 states

2020-11-05 12:39:07 UTC

Morning @Doc

Is anyone talking about mass voting infrastructure reform? Maybe standardizing voting procedure for federal elections?
.
I think a lot of the questions right now are in response to loose and inconsistent rules between states that oftentimes invite exploitation.

2020-11-05 12:40:04 UTC

@shaunm109 Agreed, america is in a pickle. The problem for the rest of the world, is that if she takes structural damage now, we will all have to learn Mandarin.

2020-11-05 12:40:37 UTC

UK independence for instance, needs a strong US to work.

2020-11-05 12:40:59 UTC

So this election has more geopolitical consequences than any prior election post 1945.

2020-11-05 12:41:46 UTC

im not about that if i was american im sure id favour trump as i dont believe biden is fit enough to be president and also hearing about the corruption in response to ukraine and the hunter biden emails are quite damning

2020-11-05 12:42:11 UTC

well, I believe the president is a figure head at this point

2020-11-05 12:42:20 UTC

its the administration that matters.

2020-11-05 12:42:33 UTC

and the Biden-administration favors China.

2020-11-05 12:42:41 UTC

Do we have any idea whom Biden would appoint to cabinet positions?

2020-11-05 12:42:48 UTC

Good for the economy, bad for independence.

2020-11-05 12:42:54 UTC

yeah where as a trump administration would favour american workers

2020-11-05 12:43:06 UTC

correct. It would favor american oligarcs.

2020-11-05 12:43:22 UTC

means trade war with china, but less influence from that side.

2020-11-05 12:43:25 UTC

.
Regardless, I agree. China position is an issue w/ the whole DNC

2020-11-05 12:43:43 UTC

At the moment EU is being bought by Bejing. I would rather be owned by Washington than by Xi.

2020-11-05 12:43:55 UTC

good job we are leaving haha

2020-11-05 12:44:04 UTC

That was an awesome day.

2020-11-05 12:44:24 UTC

I had rule Britannia on repeat for 10 hrs. 😄

2020-11-05 12:44:53 UTC

it was then we had an extreme wing of the left and the right was trying everything to undermine the referendum and block it

2020-11-05 12:45:11 UTC

we are off topic now. Wrong election.

2020-11-05 12:45:20 UTC

haha yeah right

2020-11-05 12:45:42 UTC

but its relevant. The geopolitical consequences of the 2020 election I think is massive.

2020-11-05 12:46:52 UTC

i couldnt agree more, as a brit we are looking for a strong deal with america but i dont believe biden and kamala are fit enough to facilitate a strong deal

2020-11-05 12:47:10 UTC

they are both very questionable candidates

2020-11-05 13:10:27 UTC

well, they seem more invested in Chinese relations.

2020-11-05 13:10:41 UTC

couldnt agree more

2020-11-05 13:11:01 UTC

And the Chinese influencers in the US seems to support them.

2020-11-05 13:11:34 UTC

Now, nothing wrong with this. A Chinese bank wants to make money, just like any other bank. But I dont like their efficiency culture.

2020-11-05 13:11:50 UTC

And their social control routines are horrible.

2020-11-05 13:12:07 UTC

I expect this to be implemented gradually across the world as they start owning stuff.

2020-11-05 13:12:35 UTC

I want my Aston Martin to be built by a jolly englishman who enjoys going to the pub. Not a 22 year old zombie who works till his hands bleed.

2020-11-05 13:12:48 UTC

its pretty terrifying to be honest

2020-11-05 13:13:03 UTC

In some regards, yes.

2020-11-05 13:13:34 UTC

remember the balance of order and freedom in a society. The chinese prefer order.

2020-11-05 13:13:48 UTC

That has its flip side in the amount of control you need.
