@Doc on the multitasking note, the military has pivoted to specifically recruiting people good at multitasking (relatively good I suppose). So it seems like a semi permanent fundamental change.

@Gypsy Indeed. That is the interesting part of IQ tests, they are somewhat dependant on culture. Todays tests are children of tests developed for the G-generation. The Zoomers are culturally extremely different.

So one could argue that they are if more limited value now than in 1947.

I have no issue with IQ tests but I don’t think the state should use them. I think employers should be allowed to use them though. But to me the best indicator of success is perseverance. It’s just hard to measure.

The state is dependent on them for military selection, @Gypsy Its what they were originally developed for.
