U.S. businesses have a vested interest in China but that doesn't require Taiwan to be part of China. Seems like if something went down, supporting Taiwan would present a double bind.

Slight diversion but... I didn’t think it was a good idea when Biden kept repeating that Kim jong-Un is a thug. true, but really it’s not a good start is it

2020-11-27 19:59:34 UTC

Doubt it.

2020-11-27 19:59:48 UTC

The US doesn't want to strengthen China by any means.

2020-11-27 19:59:59 UTC

China is a direct adversary.

2020-11-27 20:00:19 UTC

China is the new USSR.

2020-11-27 20:01:01 UTC

Not a good start, not sure where that weird case will go. Rocket man is crazy though.

2020-11-27 20:01:20 UTC

The US.will not do anything against Kim.J. if china is no involved.. N. Korea is a bigger threat than . Almost democratic china.

2020-11-27 20:01:44 UTC

China fuels our most 'patriotic' industrial powerhouses. We just gave them big tax rewards for keeping their existing infrastructure while giving a vague handshake agreement to maybe create some jobs stateside.

2020-11-27 20:02:07 UTC

Rocket Man is a Chinese proxy instigator

2020-11-27 20:02:11 UTC

Yes, Zulu, which is why you're going to slowly start seeing more growing populism.

2020-11-27 20:02:16 UTC

And nationalism.

2020-11-27 20:02:18 UTC

Didn’t Kim jong-un call trump old? An he got offended 😂 rocket man is a slightly more polite than thug. Kind of 🙈

2020-11-27 20:02:46 UTC

No one is giving up the China production cash cow. Ever.

2020-11-27 20:02:49 UTC

Yes he is.

2020-11-27 20:03:21 UTC

Iunno, we'll have to see.

2020-11-27 20:03:36 UTC

The American populace is growing ever more hostile towards China.

2020-11-27 20:03:40 UTC

He called Trump fat I think...it was hilarious and then the bromance started...

2020-11-27 20:03:45 UTC

The human factory of the world 😐

2020-11-27 20:03:59 UTC

That's the problem. We won't see unless there are covenants with their tax incentives.

2020-11-27 20:04:10 UTC

And give up their investment in China too...it will never happen.

2020-11-27 20:04:30 UTC

Nope

2020-11-27 20:04:31 UTC

Never.

2020-11-27 20:05:12 UTC

> And give up their investment in China too...it will never happen.
@busillis That's what I meant by covenants...to relocate structure.

2020-11-27 20:05:35 UTC

Are the farmers in the midwest hurting cuse of the tariff imposed to China..

2020-11-27 20:06:19 UTC

But blank checks written directly to their bottom lines with a wink are not the way.

2020-11-27 20:06:22 UTC

Sorry I missed the last bit until it was reposted

2020-11-27 20:07:45 UTC

Yes. China can afford the trade wars, the US cannot. And let’s not forget the US taken on many trade wars. Canada, Mexico, EU

2020-11-27 20:08:29 UTC

Actually they weren't tax incentives. They were flat out gifts with no strings attached. Like when Carrier took the $7mm and opened up their Mexico plant anyway. Laid off like 1400 people in Indiana. That was a Trump 2016 campaign stunt.

2020-11-27 20:08:46 UTC

What do you mean? No more cheap TVs from Walmart, subsidized by the CCP and our banking overlords?

2020-11-27 20:11:26 UTC

If it weren't for their economic and environmental policies, I'd turn Republican t-t-t-today, junior.

2020-11-27 20:11:52 UTC

The fallacy in producing less tangible goods than one's country consumes is lost on most.

2020-11-27 20:12:31 UTC

Although I bet the Bank of China will loan me some money for a hamburger.

2020-11-27 20:12:34 UTC

No more trading war. With Biden... maybe i will be able to buy a big screen TV. Finally

2020-11-27 20:12:37 UTC

Quite happily

2020-11-27 20:13:22 UTC

@MatiLuc big screen TVs are quite inexpensive compared to 10 years ago.

2020-11-27 20:13:51 UTC

@MatiLuc what is your definition of fix screen anything larger than a Mobile screen?

2020-11-27 20:14:01 UTC

That's innovation cost being absorbed.

2020-11-27 20:14:39 UTC

Possibly

2020-11-27 20:15:00 UTC

My tv looks like a large monitor

2020-11-27 20:15:23 UTC

What is a TV actually?
