They don’t that’s just a trump talking point

2020-11-28 05:16:25 UTC

Don't look at me, somebody declared me essential and I haven't missed a day of work. Meanwhile some friends of mine got paid to stay home. Next lockdown it's my turn.

2020-11-28 05:16:27 UTC

Dems. Wanted to blame Trump. Flr shutdowns. And lockdowns

2020-11-28 05:16:46 UTC

Lol. Lucky

2020-11-28 05:17:39 UTC

The most at risk industries are bars and restaurants.

2020-11-28 05:17:59 UTC

And gyms

2020-11-28 05:18:19 UTC

Most other people can work from home

2020-11-28 05:18:30 UTC

Everyone else is essential

2020-11-28 05:18:32 UTC

@AdamS While we digress... I remember in the 00's watching PM Tony Blair go before - I want to say House of Lords, but if might have been the Commons - in any case, I was supremely impressed with the speed, whit, and eloquence that he engaged them on a litany of subjects. It was in a rapid fire exchange where it was almost him versus the rest and it was startling to me just how refreshing it was to see. At the time, Bush 43 was president and he wasn't known for thinking quick on his feet. Does BoJo have to go through the same thing and is he as adept at it as Tony Blair?

2020-11-28 05:18:46 UTC

Big box stores just need to wear masks and social distance

2020-11-28 05:18:56 UTC

My business can NOT afford another shut down. When governors pick and choose who gets to make a living or starve, then turn around to be a hypocrite. Ugggg it frustrates me

2020-11-28 05:18:57 UTC

Which is a dying industry anyways

2020-11-28 05:19:21 UTC

They should give you a stimulus bill which isn’t just a one time payment @Repeat

2020-11-28 05:20:30 UTC

That’s the responsibility of the government, if they impose a shut down (which most likely they won’t) they are then responsible to make sure you don’t go under

2020-11-28 05:20:36 UTC

@james j is not only those alot more.are

2020-11-28 05:21:07 UTC

However the stimulus bills keep trying to give money to non vulnerable businesses

2020-11-28 05:24:29 UTC

Tony Blair was a great Prime Minister before he bombed Iraq. It would have been in the House of Commons and he always well articulated in responding to questions of the opposition. It’s a weekly debate. Boris is unfortunately no longer up to it, he cannot handle himself or respond adequately, the leader of the opposition (Keir Starmer) is a former magistrate and holds himself like Tony Blair. Boris looks tired & will likely step down in 2021. David Cameron was an excellent Prime Minister.

2020-11-28 05:25:16 UTC

No one is pressuring Trump to give another stimulus check

2020-11-28 05:26:17 UTC

He shouldn’t need pressure

2020-11-28 05:26:33 UTC

Pelosi should have taken the deal

2020-11-28 05:27:49 UTC

Most of those were wrongly convicted felons with Obama @busillis

2020-11-28 05:28:04 UTC

I don’t know what Roosevelt was doing

2020-11-28 05:28:28 UTC

@Repeat yes i saw thi one.. those cops didn't want to arrest anyone. They looked weak. And didnt want to do paperwork

2020-11-28 05:29:28 UTC

@james j that meant more votes for him it was the election or checks

2020-11-28 05:29:36 UTC

Aren’t health inspectors supposed to show up uninvited

2020-11-28 05:30:10 UTC

Didn’t most of those come post 2012

2020-11-28 05:31:20 UTC

I think all Americans should watch that type of political discourse at some point or another. Our legislature is too staid and boring. The President speaks once a year from the legislature to give the state of the union and it is usually excruciating. I'd love to see it be done like Mr. Blair used to do it and on a weekly basis. Respectful - yet witty and stinging, at times, but always respectful.

2020-11-28 05:35:17 UTC

It’s a good political debate and the very point of the opposition, to hold the Government of day to account...always good to have a good opposition at the end of the day we get on the side of Governments and hope they do best for the country. I would definitely encourage everyone to watch parliamentary debates, very entertaining by all accounts. Tony Blair definitely handled himself well, they don’t make them the same anymore.

2020-11-28 05:35:26 UTC

The weekly press briefings weren’t satiating? @TaLoN132

2020-11-28 05:35:51 UTC

@busillis he pardoned his accomplices and some people..2 ladies..

2020-11-28 05:35:51 UTC

@MatiLuc, you just advanced to level 13!

2020-11-28 05:37:03 UTC

Press briefings are hardly holding elected officials to account.

Visually, they were fine - more or less... It's just when I turned the sound up.

2020-11-28 05:37:27 UTC

Can’t that be done without a speech @AdamS

2020-11-28 05:38:43 UTC

Meanwhile, Trump and Bar ramp up death penalty.

2020-11-28 05:39:04 UTC

Have you guys been seeing that?

2020-11-28 05:39:09 UTC

It was entertaining watching the press secretary twist themselves into a pretzel, especially spicer @TaLoN132

2020-11-28 05:40:48 UTC

Kayleigh McEnany has been entertaining, literally Mini Trump
