@nachik Good morning... You are up awfully early, or is it late?

2020-11-30 04:50:21 UTC

my sleep pattern is all over the place with the lockdown and the short winter days

2020-11-30 04:50:59 UTC

@nachik what do the lockdown look like in your area?

2020-11-30 04:51:00 UTC

@busillis, you just advanced to level 20!

2020-11-30 04:51:02 UTC

we have like 6 hours of dim light a day in late November and need excuses to get out

2020-11-30 04:51:37 UTC

can only go out for food nearby since I can work from home

2020-11-30 04:52:06 UTC

it's no wonder people are very depressed

2020-11-30 04:52:32 UTC

Do you want to know what it is like in CA or would that be considered me being cruel?

2020-11-30 04:52:33 UTC

by 5PM it's dark

2020-11-30 04:52:38 UTC

@nachik what is the percentage of people that are allowed to work outside of the home?

2020-11-30 04:53:08 UTC

@TaLoN132 what is it like in your area?

2020-11-30 04:53:16 UTC

I don't really know but it's pretty quiet in Canary Wharf and it used to be extremely busy

2020-11-30 04:54:05 UTC

pubs closed, shops closed, just some restaurants and coffee shops do take away

2020-11-30 04:54:55 UTC

What about children in school? All remote "learning."

2020-11-30 04:55:21 UTC

apparently, I haven't seen a kid around in quite a while come to think of it

2020-11-30 04:55:34 UTC

today I saw a couple and they were continentals

2020-11-30 04:55:41 UTC

@nachik The days are shorter than normal. It's pretty light from 6AM to 5PM. Today it was in the 80's F (~27C). Took our 19 week old puppy on its first long walk in a local lakebed - wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

2020-11-30 04:56:39 UTC

@TaLoN132 so how many hours a day are you locked down?

2020-11-30 04:56:40 UTC

here it's the usual 0-10C every day, will be a bit colder next month

2020-11-30 04:57:28 UTC

that's around 30 to 50F which is standard here

2020-11-30 04:58:01 UTC

London is relatively warm for the UK

2020-11-30 04:58:37 UTC

very stable too, many days we stay within a couple degrees all day

2020-11-30 04:58:43 UTC

and wet

2020-11-30 04:59:17 UTC

We recently went into the highest tier here in OC. No indoor dining, restrictions on bars (not my thing, so not sure), other than that, not too bad. Kid are in Hybrid In-person/remote to reduce class density.

2020-11-30 05:00:28 UTC

we haven't had indoor dining or pubs since early November

2020-11-30 05:00:42 UTC

My youngest son (10) is full remote by choice (he wanted it and I didn't care that much either way - it's working for him).

You’ve got to be kidding me! “Georgia recount in Fulton County delayed by Dominion server crash: “

2020-11-30 05:02:35 UTC

@nachik @TaLoN132 do you believe COVID-19 is an immediate threat to you and family you live with?

2020-11-30 05:02:48 UTC

no, not at all

2020-11-30 05:02:56 UTC

well it's a threat to our economy

2020-11-30 05:03:00 UTC

because of the panic

2020-11-30 05:03:50 UTC

and people are getting really depressed by being locked down as days get shorter

2020-11-30 05:03:52 UTC

Crashed into a plasma furnace?

2020-11-30 05:04:09 UTC

Not really... I am way heavier than I care to admit, but otherwise healthy.

2020-11-30 05:04:21 UTC

London's latitude is above Calgary just to give a North American perspective

2020-11-30 05:04:28 UTC

and most of the UK is higher up

2020-11-30 05:05:25 UTC

@TaLoN132 @nachik how many people do you know that have become sick or died from COVID-19?

2020-11-30 05:05:41 UTC

I think people usually disregard how important daylight is

2020-11-30 05:05:59 UTC

I think I got it around December last year, but wasn't tested

2020-11-30 05:06:07 UTC

Yeah this is insane lol

2020-11-30 05:06:09 UTC

I was tested in October and was negative
