since the late 90s they've been gaining momentum
recently the thought crime aspect is getting very pervasive
So you might be a terrorist if you say anything contrary to the government/ owners narrative?
in Scotland if your kid tells a teacher that daddy things negatively of multiculturalism or is against BLM, etc
that's grounds for arrest
Damn...
that'll make you love the brown shirts... as they're bashing your skull in.
also children can start trans drugs at school without parental consent or even knowledge
that's UK-wide this year, has been the case in Scotland for a few years
Damn...
they are truly picking up pace
unthinkable stuff is the new normal in a couple of years
Wow
In a bad way
Will have to check out when not behind proxy.
my sleep pattern is all over the place with the lockdown and the short winter days
@busillis, you just advanced to level 20!
can only go out for food nearby since I can work from home
it's no wonder people are very depressed
Do you want to know what it is like in CA or would that be considered me being cruel?
by 5PM it's dark
@nachik what is the percentage of people that are allowed to work outside of the home?
I don't really know but it's pretty quiet in Canary Wharf and it used to be extremely busy
pubs closed, shops closed, just some restaurants and coffee shops do take away
What about children in school? All remote "learning."
apparently, I haven't seen a kid around in quite a while come to think of it
today I saw a couple and they were continentals
@nachik The days are shorter than normal. It's pretty light from 6AM to 5PM. Today it was in the 80's F (~27C). Took our 19 week old puppy on its first long walk in a local lakebed - wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
here it's the usual 0-10C every day, will be a bit colder next month
that's around 30 to 50F which is standard here
London is relatively warm for the UK
very stable too, many days we stay within a couple degrees all day
and wet
We recently went into the highest tier here in OC. No indoor dining, restrictions on bars (not my thing, so not sure), other than that, not too bad. Kid are in Hybrid In-person/remote to reduce class density.
we haven't had indoor dining or pubs since early November
