Trump's favorite magazine... He likes their lists.

2020-12-13 09:26:06 UTC

And how is Forbes anymore authoritative than the...

2020-12-13 09:26:15 UTC

What people dont understand is that you too can today make a sole proprietorship selling garbage on Amazon and use the same "loopholes'. They arent loopholes they are tax law.

2020-12-13 09:26:37 UTC

@leftingfighter33 The tax law needs to change.

2020-12-13 09:26:41 UTC

Plain and simple

2020-12-13 09:26:51 UTC

its not the same, llc also is not the same

2020-12-13 09:27:00 UTC

There should be deductible limits, in my honest opinion.

2020-12-13 09:27:10 UTC

Oh lucky lucky Forbes is on partly by the Chinese

2020-12-13 09:27:20 UTC

All transactions go through CCP

2020-12-13 09:27:37 UTC

That's the beauty of a centralized totalitarian regime.

2020-12-13 09:27:37 UTC

there should be an equal or flat tax, get the dirty .gov out of the whole corrupt system

2020-12-13 09:27:54 UTC

So, it's likely way more than $5.4m.

2020-12-13 09:28:42 UTC

How is it nit the same? You can take the same deductions. The only difference between an llc and a sole proprietorship is the separation of the business from you as an individual.

Lots of small businesses run as sole props.

2020-12-13 09:28:52 UTC

Basically you can't trust any of these so-called new sources all controlled by multinational corporations... We've already had this discussion.

2020-12-13 09:29:18 UTC

Mr Bill Clinton paved the way for this type of deregulation...

2020-12-13 09:29:30 UTC

With NAFTA..

2020-12-13 09:29:40 UTC

all i can say, if you dont honestly know, is they are not the same lol

2020-12-13 09:30:03 UTC

Not that it wasn't going to happen anyway.

2020-12-13 09:30:10 UTC

Tax deductibles are usually used as incentives by the government, and are usually subject to change each year. Higher deductible limits if the government is looking to promote home renovation, etc. It's a bit different on the business side of things.

2020-12-13 09:30:51 UTC

Llc is just there to separate the liability of the business from you, nothing more. You can still take the same deductions.

2020-12-13 09:30:52 UTC

@busillis It started long before him... It started with the end of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987 under Reagan.

2020-12-13 09:30:56 UTC

But the point people are trying to make is that paying for home renovation directly benefits yourself, and on top of that, it becomes basically non-taxed money.

2020-12-13 09:31:18 UTC

Once upon a Time media companies couldn't monopolize local markets, so they could not own a newspaper and a TV station and a radio station area.

2020-12-13 09:31:23 UTC

Exactly!!!

2020-12-13 09:31:33 UTC

And I said it would have happened anyway but he's the one that signed it.

2020-12-13 09:31:48 UTC

It's the ravages of neoliberalism conservatism

2020-12-13 09:32:27 UTC

That speaks to my point that these people are no different from one another the so-called right and left...

2020-12-13 09:32:33 UTC

I see every possible news product out there.

2020-12-13 09:32:38 UTC

do some research and figure out why corporations rarely if ever pay taxes, unless they want to post profits and drive up stock prices or various practical reasons

2020-12-13 09:32:57 UTC

You're preaching to the choir...

2020-12-13 09:32:58 UTC

There's no impetus to do actual journalism...

2020-12-13 09:33:12 UTC

People dont understand that you can literally start a hotdog stand, run it as a aole prop and use all of the same deductions "big corps" use. You can claim everything as a business expense too.

2020-12-13 09:33:23 UTC

Why break stories when you own all the outlets... Just pander to your advertisers.

2020-12-13 09:33:59 UTC

It's called a pass through...

2020-12-13 09:34:10 UTC

Sure, no one knows.

2020-12-13 09:34:22 UTC

There are some good journalists still... You just have to find them and follow their careers a bit.

2020-12-13 09:34:31 UTC

Hopefully we won't have to utilize my tax write offs this year 😛
