I don't think there's a legal correction. There's motivation outside the scope of the law (personal belief) that is weighing having certain legal consequences versus have trump another term. Basically weighed their option and this behavior is their vote.

If i was trump i would focus on one particular state now that he has two sets of electors in many of them. his team should focus on turning one. if he can turn one i believe they will all turn because they are all scared to admit their incompetence and repercussions.
