I thought she got kicked off the court... I thought I must have missed something that was kinda a big deal

2020-12-16 00:20:34 UTC

Lol... her previous Job

2020-12-16 00:24:09 UTC

No, that was Hunter Biden. This is Joe Biden. I know it can get confusing with all the Bidens.

2020-12-16 00:24:31 UTC

One would have to be a damn fool to give up ones blackmail material for no remuneration.

2020-12-16 00:25:45 UTC

I thought the left was above doing stuff like that.

2020-12-16 00:27:49 UTC

@james j said the left ain't nothing but a bunch of down to earth folk.@Phil

@RobertGrulerEsq#0555

I used SolarWinds in mine and other client networks for network monitoring. I used to use a product by a small Texas upstart called Capzure that got bought by Solarwinds a few years ago. Shortly after they bought Capzure out, SolarWinds themselves were bought out by a Chinese holding company and I cut all ties with the software which became terrible as it was rebranded to SolarWinds MSP.

China owns SolarWinds. The "hack" was not a hack, it was infact intentionally baked into their software suite.

2020-12-16 00:27:57 UTC

@Pr0t0c01, you just advanced to level 2!

2020-12-16 00:29:19 UTC

Why am I not surprised. This is why the US military doesn't mess around with products made by adversaries.

2020-12-16 00:31:51 UTC

@busillis#0807 yep, I was pissed as the Capzure MSP software was solid. I used to speak to the founder and co-founder on the phone. Great people and receptive to ideas and criticism.

Once SolarWinds bought it, things went downhill fast. Even working features were broke overnight and took months to fix.

The acquisition by private equity technology investment firms Silver Lake Partners and Thoma Bravo, LLC. was announced in late 2015, and by January 2016, SolarWinds was taken private in a $4.5 billion deal.

2020-12-16 00:34:30 UTC

I was wrong they're trying to say that it's the same people who hacked the DNC server.

2020-12-16 00:34:37 UTC

Silver Lake Partners is the Chinese holding company.

2020-12-16 00:35:11 UTC

Silver lake sounds extremely genteel.

2020-12-16 00:35:46 UTC

4.5bn and taking SolarWinds private. Of course you'd want it private. No way for public viewing and people to see that you are putting your hooks in the software

2020-12-16 00:36:01 UTC

Is this a Chinese hack or Russian? I haven’t looked into it yet.

2020-12-16 00:36:28 UTC

Them some good down-to-earth communist Chinese party investors over there at silver lake partners.

2020-12-16 00:36:35 UTC

@busillis I know it sounds like that right lol. The Chinese aren't stupid, they know not to make it Huai Li holding company lol

2020-12-16 00:37:06 UTC

Let me go pick up some of those fine Chinese warez to put on all my customers networks.

2020-12-16 00:37:19 UTC

@busillis I saw writing on the wall when I dropped them. I mean my tech company is small fry, but I didn't want any part of their BS.

2020-12-16 00:37:22 UTC

I know....

2020-12-16 00:38:09 UTC

The name of the game is infiltrating people that'll do the work for you.

2020-12-16 00:39:00 UTC

1000 @TaLoN132 dropping truth proofs....

2020-12-16 00:39:12 UTC

Yep, and unknowingly just thinking they are doing their job.

2020-12-16 00:39:56 UTC

Air gap networks can never be infiltrated...

Hahahah hahahaha

2020-12-16 00:40:37 UTC

@busillis you work in IT too 😆?

2020-12-16 00:40:42 UTC

hahaha ... every hear of wireless?

2020-12-16 00:41:18 UTC

Ever hear of planning malware on a systems and turning it into radio stations broadcasting information for anyone with the receiver to hear.

2020-12-16 00:41:35 UTC

@meglide don't even need wireless. Have you heard about the CIA using internals on systems to transmit patterns to be received as messaging?

2020-12-16 00:42:53 UTC

The rainbow books deal with hardening government information systems against those sort of attacks.

2020-12-16 00:43:42 UTC

But what he'll.. who knew you could broadcast signals into electronic circuits.

2020-12-16 00:44:43 UTC

A Dominion attack wouldn't have to be that sophisticated just attack the laptop of a flunky works at customer sites.

2020-12-16 00:45:04 UTC

...

2020-12-16 00:45:37 UTC

Likely the systems are controlled through vpns not connected to the internet...

2020-12-16 00:45:44 UTC

That's an industry standard.

2020-12-16 00:46:27 UTC

...

2020-12-16 00:46:36 UTC

All that's not even to mention that the Chinese manufactured chips.

2020-12-16 00:46:47 UTC

So... There's that...

2020-12-16 00:47:02 UTC

The manufacturing piece is the reason that there was pushback on using Chinese companies for 5G...
