Would you Prescribe Narcotics to a Suicidal Person?
@William Dinan No.
suicidal people arent suicidal.
Suicidal people are dead.
exactly
dying is extremely easy if you are brave enough.
Technically. I believe you see my Point?
I do.
There are plenty of ways, I reckon.

@Doc. I believe many confuse the difference between Ethics and Morals?
I think people don't understand ethical/moral systems when they talk about ethics and morals.
Which means they end up having gut feelings and attribute that to moral judgment.
Yes I can agree!
It's actually an incredibly complex system that you have to go out of your way to attempt and simplify.
The complexity may strive from an inner self and not the actual Ethics set by the specific group or collective?
That's the problem, people rely on visceral reactions and what they think the group they are a part of will think.
Barely anyone has an internal system of morality to take a moral question in, and generate a moral response.
Agree. I was referring to Ethics specifically.
To make an internal moral system, you must make a model to do so, which is explaining society as a base, and everyone's function in society, then the moral construct that your society is created on. Most of this revolves around internal happiness.
The Moral conflicts usually occur outside the group that sets the Ethical Standards. Not always...
Then leads to constructing social contracts.
Ethical Standards within a Specific Group may differ from General Social/Public Standards or Feeling/Emotions.
Physician's, Attorneys, Clergy and Therapists come to mind quickly.
Sure, but if those ethical standards still don't egress on the society, they can coexist.
However they do. All of the Groups I have mentioned above will help People that Social may seem Undesirable or Unworthy of Services.
How do they egress?
Generally it's out of scope of egressing if it's just aiding a group of people that you yourself do not like.
I took egress as Exit or leave. Not providing Services?
Egress as in breaking the contract.
Ethical Obligations?
Sorry, I misinterpreted your comment.
"Don't"
You must abide by the social contract otherwise people may interact with you in a way that is extremely problematic.
I totally disagree @Maw @William Dinan
Unfortunately the Social Contract and Ethical Standards do not agree.
