You would think random, well-meaning people would be a deterrent to fraud, but based on the various witness testimonies I heard from Michigan alone, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Many people aren’t properly trained and don’t understand the systems they’re using, let alone deal with issues that arise during high stress situations, such as Election Day. Couple that with a serious imbalance of political affiliation of the poll workers and you have a situation ripe for foul play.

@busillis In any case, my version of that story that I tell my kids is that when I was a kid and I wanted to play a computer game, I had to wait for the computer magazine to come in the mail. I then had to copy the source code from the magazine into the computer - making sure to save it to tape every so often, compile it, and run the game... True story.
