@realz BTC is a meme, the moment USD becomes worthless BTC is also worthless. they are tied. BTC means nothing and has no value without USD having value

there's your rebuttal. the us government has and will seize alternate wealth storages, in times of economic depression. feel free to lecture me more about how I have uneducated/baseless claim thinking that the most public transaction system ever created, will be fucked with by the government

and it would be pointless to seize if the act of seizure made it worthless

also, it isn't easy to seize even if you know who has or had it

yes, either way you lose. its either worthless and you can do nothing with it. or its worth something and the government takes it

the government didn't just take the gold

they paid for it

and as I explained, it isn't easy to actually seize either

you can make similar hand wavey arguments about any assets

stocks or real estate

not to mention that in such a scenario it would be worth a lot to people out of the country

I actually did a bunch of research on tracking things like btc

i.e I almost wrote a paper on it

and it is quite easy to have a single plausibly deniable transaction to yourself

i.e to claim you sent it to your cousin outside the US

and they can't prove otherwise or do anything about it
