@SPEARS if you are so sure then there is plenty of options to put your money where your mouth is
I make no claims on gambling
i'm just saying, the last thing you will be worried about is how much you have in BTC if the dollar becomes monopoly money
that's one thing you said
but you are just a guy on the internet
r/bitcoin has a thousand like you, a million even
just saying it without any apparent reasoning isn't going to impress me
(and you said more than that too, `BTC is a meme` is not `i'm just saying,...`)
like I said, I make _no_ claims about BTC going up or down
to me it is gambling
but you made a claim, you can make money off that claim, and you gave no reason other than you saying it
if you want to make money off this conviction, you can
other than that, what I am supposed to say?
"Bitcoin is often perceived as an anonymous payment network. But in reality, Bitcoin is probably the most transparent payment network in the world. "

there's your rebuttal. the us government has and will seize alternate wealth storages, in times of economic depression. feel free to lecture me more about how I have uneducated/baseless claim thinking that the most public transaction system ever created, will be fucked with by the government
that is a petty rebuttal
gold was not worthless after that
and it would be pointless to seize if the act of seizure made it worthless
also, it isn't easy to seize even if you know who has or had it
yes, either way you lose. its either worthless and you can do nothing with it. or its worth something and the government takes it
the government didn't just take the gold
they paid for it
and as I explained, it isn't easy to actually seize either
you can make similar hand wavey arguments about any assets
stocks or real estate
anything
(with the difference being that they can actually seize it with or without your "assistance")
not to mention that in such a scenario it would be worth a lot to people out of the country
I actually did a bunch of research on tracking things like btc
i.e I almost wrote a paper on it
and it is quite easy to have a single plausibly deniable transaction to yourself
i.e to claim you sent it to your cousin outside the US
and they can't prove otherwise or do anything about it
(except put you in prison or something)
the idea that btc is not anonymous is true over many transactions
what country are you from?
I am from the US
for a single chain of transactions, it is feasible to plausibly deny that you are any longer connected to it
I mean they are trying to do what you say right now
in Venezuela currency trading offmarket is illegal, pretty sure
