and it would be pointless to seize if the act of seizure made it worthless

also, it isn't easy to seize even if you know who has or had it

yes, either way you lose. its either worthless and you can do nothing with it. or its worth something and the government takes it

the government didn't just take the gold

they paid for it

and as I explained, it isn't easy to actually seize either

i.e I almost wrote a paper on it

and it is quite easy to have a single plausibly deniable transaction to yourself

i.e to claim you sent it to your cousin outside the US

and they can't prove otherwise or do anything about it

(except put you in prison or something)

for a single chain of transactions, it is feasible to plausibly deny that you are any longer connected to it

coinjoin seems like tumbling

where you trust a third party to take in a bunch of "dirty" money, and each contributor gets back the same amount, minus a fee

problem with this sort of thing is, just participating in it, or being connected to someone who does, is a red flag

(arguably also illegal as money laundering)

and it is easy to see such things on the blockchain

most types of tumbling becomes very obvious

and basically you are probably gonna end up with _even_ "dirtier" money than you put in
