Really cool story
Of course, this might be me misreading your sarcasm again...
Churchill's dogs were named Rufus and then Rufus II.
Fake news. At least one was called the N word.
He had a bulldog named Dodo, the Rufuses were poodles, and he had two cats: Nelson and Marmalade.
Intresting. Suppose this is the way ISIS was radicalized through DOD and Dept of State...impulse algorithms?
I dont know much about it. Just that the content of what you search is not nearly as valuable as the patterns of how and when you search.
Reading an article where Churchill referred to his depression episodes as a Manic-Depressive as his "Black Dog".
Wierd
And racist
Lol
Not racist. As a trucker we used to refer to ghosting on the road from being too tired as the "the Black Dog". Shadows in the dark on pavement that would make you jump and have an accident because your brain was playing games with you while you were exhausted. Nothing racist in it.
Black Ice, unintentional? Not easily seen, definitely not verify but deadly nonetheless.
Yeah, dealt with that a couple times. Coming down Mt. Shasta was one. Another time in Virginia I caught some under a bridge. Lost control of my truck and managed to get it up a ramp and under control without an accident. But it took me 10 days before I could go to the bathroom again.
I used to live in Mt Shasta
Gorgeous place. I prefer pictures of it to driving it while it is iced up.
Or living there
Lol
Beautiful place to visit. Horrible place to try to earn a living and live.
That's a lot of control. Most people would shit themselves but such is the way of Black Dog discipline
My dad and uncle were born in Sloat, ever hear of it?
Don't think so.
Where is it?
It isn't too far from Oroville. SSE of Chico. Logging village/camp.
Grandpa died there in a logging accident Oct 23, 1940.
I was up in Shasta/Weed/Redding area for a few years.
Then had a scuffle with law enforcement and left...quickly
Lol
Well, I told you not to put Bengay on the rim of his coffee cup!
Lol.
I know that area... Lived in Klamath Falls, OR for a few years and we camped at Shasta quite a bit.
Wow, crazy
During the Depression my grandpa worked as a logging foreman in upstate California. Had family down near Modesto. His sister was married to Mr. Petz that owned chunk of what is now I-5 through there.
@Whithers Every drive through the Tule Fog coming down into the Sacramento valley?
*Ever
I'm sure I have.
Is that the cattle farm?
I drove through it a long time ago... I used to drive until I came up on a tractor trailer and then draft until it cleared.
Where the sky gets dark for a few miles?
Tule Fog is a weather phenomenon... So think you can barely see the front of your car.
