Lol
😄 I am happy you know your life story. My son was conceived there too 😄.
I did try out for Seal consideration when I was boot camp. It was a reason to get out of the barracks for a while. I couldn't complete the pull ups...
Sounds like a lot of people fornicate in San Antonio
I should head out there.
Well, yeah. I was a code breaker. My job was either to be REMF (Rear Eschalon MFr) or to be FLOT (Forward Line of Troops). So, my life expectancy if the balloon went up was either years in the first case, or 3.6 seconds in the latter case.
Well a hero (potential hero, you signed the dotted line) then because i didnt even have the cojones to sign up
@Buzzweiser, you just advanced to level 2!
Too funny... My parents were both in the AF in SA for basic training.... they got married there thinking my dad was headed to Vietnam. I was born 9 1/2 months later.
It helped that my dad went bankrupt as I was finishing HS and I had no place to live once he lost the house.
Has infantry always been a short life expectancy. F that. God bless anyone with those guts
I scored high on Asvab and Dlab.
They sent me to DLI to learn Korean.
By the time that I was ready to join the military I was too old to be accepted. In my youth I didn't want to be controlled or told what to do and when to wake up. I have full respect for those that are willing to put their lives on the line for not just mine, but the freedom of everyone in this nation.
@True, you just advanced to level 1!
If I would have know I would be selling g insurance in Indiana when I was 19, ai would have joined up.
Amen to that
I still remember enough to get into trouble. But couldn't always hear the difference between a G, GG, and K. So, when I couldn't be a translator they made me a code breaker.
If there is a foreign invader or a domestic war I am MORE than willing to defend this nation and our constitution and the values that we stand for.
I have a funny story about the ASVAB... I went with a group to the processing center for the physical and test. Afterwards, the recruiter was giving everyone their scores. They ranged from 25 to low 50's. I asked him how I did, he said about that. I said BS. He motioned for me to drop it. Pulled me aside and said he couldn't tell me in front of the others, but I had gotten the highest possible 98 or 99, I can't remember now.
Watch out - someone will call you a nazi youkeep talking like that @True
Yup
White nationalist
Extremist
Just like Red Dawn...
NO! A constitutionalist maybe. F the Nazis, F the white nationalists!!!
Aww... True fell into the sarcasm trap that I did earlier...
Haha
When I took the battery it was scored different. However, we used to get kids that would deliberately fail thinking that if their score was low enough they would never be drafted. dumpkoffs.
My lowest score on it was 122 for engineering based skills.
My dad was in the induction line and realized that if he was going to have to serve, he might as well enlist. He went to the Navy recruiter who was at lunch. The next door was the AF, and they were in. They asked if he had taken the oath yet, and he hadn't.
I'm glad I didn't go to Afghanistan, tho.
you people are assholes...LOL 😁
Thanks for the troll
Yeah, Afghanistan and I would not have worked out. I am more of an arctic tundra kind of person.
Plenty of love in SA. Yes you should go. Visit the Alamo! Amen to that True.
Less so now with arthritis.
Haha Nazi.
You
Too many family members and buddies dealing with that now.
