they currently are.

2020-12-06 15:34:04 UTC

@MatiLuc I don't get the obsession with Trump.

2020-12-06 15:34:19 UTC

And trying to bust him for some nefarious something.

2020-12-06 15:34:50 UTC

The fact is all the living presidents could be tried as war criminals, but that's not important.

2020-12-06 15:37:25 UTC

Its not an obsession.. is just that people let him get away with so many things. . That with other presidents would have been. Their careers. and the support he got for all the dangerous things he said and no consequences

2020-12-06 15:39:13 UTC

so...pretty much the same as most presidents.

2020-12-06 15:39:20 UTC

I get that, I just don't see how it moves the agenda of the people forward, for that matter I don't see the people's agenda getting moved forward at all, I see the agenda of the corporations being of primary concern.

2020-12-06 15:40:34 UTC

There are two possible reasons why heads of state are very rarely arrested after leaving office:
1) They are extremely honest
2) They are able to avoid prosecution

2020-12-06 15:40:43 UTC

I will let you decide for yourself which one is more probable.

2020-12-06 15:43:42 UTC

@busillis he always said corporations move economies not regular joes . With his small store.

2020-12-06 15:44:13 UTC

@Doc I like the corporations letting the government know what I'm going to do, it makes it easier that way.

2020-12-06 15:46:30 UTC

Or no one would want to be a head of state if you prosecuted your heads of state after their terms... is more likely

2020-12-06 15:48:00 UTC

No one with any credentials or morals wants to be a head of state anyway, leave that for the psychopaths.

2020-12-06 15:48:37 UTC

@MatiLuc I would have pulled up something better but I'm searching and Google so...

2020-12-06 15:48:59 UTC

@Soburin which would be a subclass of "able to avoid prosecution" I would say.

Regarding inverted totalitarianism

2020-12-06 15:50:27 UTC

able to avoid prosecution implies it's the individuals effort to do so. It's not. It's a procedural necessity to have a head of state at all.

2020-12-06 15:50:49 UTC

When asked why there are so few great heads of state, Napoleon is said to have replied: "To become a head of state, you have to display absolute pettiness. To become a great head of state, you need to display absolute greatness. Those two qualities are very rarely found in one man. "

2020-12-06 15:51:22 UTC

Absolute Immunity is a wonderful Tool...

2020-12-06 15:51:41 UTC

Its never absolute. Just ask Gitler and Mussolini

2020-12-06 15:51:42 UTC

@William Dinan everybody should have absolute immunity...

2020-12-06 15:52:22 UTC

That was a joke.

2020-12-06 15:52:33 UTC

or a reference to the movie Purge.

2020-12-06 15:52:49 UTC

@Doc. Didn't say it was full proof!....lol

2020-12-06 15:52:58 UTC

I'm not familiar with popular culture.

2020-12-06 15:53:25 UTC

I have to stay somewhat in touch to be able to communicate with the Kardashians and the Zoomers.

2020-12-06 15:54:07 UTC

I try to talk only about work-related stuff to people who I interact with.

2020-12-06 15:54:22 UTC

(Kardashianism in this context is just a shorter term for "post-anomic hyperconsumation"

2020-12-06 15:54:45 UTC

@busillis this is work related for me.

2020-12-06 15:54:46 UTC

Otherwise I'd be labeled a nut instantly.

2020-12-06 15:54:58 UTC

Dead people I don't know?

2020-12-06 15:55:12 UTC

What are you talking about that link posted above?

2020-12-06 15:55:28 UTC

Not really but kind of.

2020-12-06 15:55:31 UTC

did I link anythng?

2020-12-06 15:55:42 UTC

No I did above...

2020-12-06 15:56:03 UTC

Sorry I misunderstood...

2020-12-06 15:56:13 UTC

Keeping up with the Kardashians is a must for work?

2020-12-06 15:58:25 UTC

Exposing myself to the Kardashians gives me the feeling that the species has reached a tipping point.

2020-12-06 16:07:06 UTC

Read some of it. Sounds like the time we live now. Inverted totalitarianism
