"troy sass chassis"

2020-12-07 16:38:10 UTC

Has a buffer tube.

2020-12-07 16:38:35 UTC

Meh I like classic look and feel

2020-12-07 16:38:58 UTC

I just bought a 590 retrograde, to replace my 590 with a buffer tube.

2020-12-07 16:39:39 UTC

So if anyone wants a 590A1 with a collapsible stock HMU lol.

2020-12-07 16:44:08 UTC

Not usually a huge fan of collapsible stocks myself, just feels like you add another failure point, though it absolutely most of the time won't come to break in use before you're already a few barrels into a gun.

2020-12-07 16:46:53 UTC

Never seen one fail honestly. I just prefer walnut and steel.

2020-12-07 16:46:53 UTC

@blaisenguns, you just advanced to level 4!

2020-12-07 16:49:51 UTC

Would depend largely on the caliber I imagine, if it's 5.56/5.45 I don't see it failing very quickly at all.

2020-12-07 16:50:00 UTC

308 and up it becomes an issue most likely.

2020-12-07 16:51:28 UTC

I don't think it'd be very bad with 308 AK either.

2020-12-07 17:41:10 UTC

@blaisenguns i dont have a giggle switch so i dont really need to worry about sustained fire

2020-12-07 17:44:28 UTC

@Maw I have never owned a drum mag I could trust.

2020-12-07 17:44:45 UTC

so I consider them wife-material

2020-12-07 17:51:47 UTC

Hahaha cynical

2020-12-07 18:04:31 UTC

cylindrical?

2020-12-07 18:11:50 UTC

Well played. Next level.

2020-12-07 18:20:30 UTC

Depends, but like I said, I never saw one fail. I have a collapsible stock on my .50 beowulf 🙂

2020-12-07 18:21:03 UTC

@Maw My new boomstick.

2020-12-07 18:54:09 UTC

@blaisenguns Double-barrel?

2020-12-07 18:54:45 UTC

Yes it is.

2020-12-07 18:55:15 UTC

That's some fine wood grain on the stock though. Real or simulated?

2020-12-07 19:16:28 UTC

Yes it is a double rifle in .470 NE made by Merkel in germany. I believe it is grade A circassian Walnut.

2020-12-07 19:25:25 UTC

i want to buy a chiappa triple threat

2020-12-07 19:32:36 UTC

I have owned Chiappa guns before. they make a quality firearm.

2020-12-07 22:33:30 UTC

@meglide Not really. I dont understand what they are trying to say. Many words, but I fail to understand the content.

2020-12-07 22:33:41 UTC

did you understand?

2020-12-07 22:37:15 UTC

if the point is that "we had the vaccine all along" there exists 10 000 experimental vaccines at any given time.

2020-12-07 22:37:35 UTC

the problem isnt really creating them, the problem is certifying their effect and safety.

2020-12-07 22:38:06 UTC

comparison, last time I checked there were 140 different treatment trials for small cell leukemia.

2020-12-07 22:38:25 UTC

Doesnt really mean we "had the cure for cancer all along" if one of them turns out to be effective.

2020-12-07 22:51:05 UTC

@Doc why I asked for your comments ... best I can tell they are saying this mRNA technique to making vaccines is like what 3-D printing is to manufacturing, once you have the blueprint you can push button and have a vaccine ... statements that caught my eye include "The whole time, we also knew that the Moderna vaccine was essentially safe. We were just waiting to know for sure that it worked, too." and "None of the scientists I spoke to for this story were at all surprised by either outcome — all said they expected the vaccines were safe and effective all along. Which has made a number of them wonder whether, in the future, at least, we might find a way to do things differently — without even thinking in terms of trade-offs. Rethinking our approach to vaccine development, they told me, could mean moving faster without moving any more recklessly." ... really? I wonder if all our technologies may have a tendency to make us the greatest fools of history ... just like one thought Boeing knew how to make airplanes that didn't crash on their own until the 737 MAX where they abandoned sound engineering principles to meet schedule and cost ... is that what they're advocating here with vaccines?

2020-12-07 22:52:13 UTC

""The whole time, we also knew that the Moderna vaccine was essentially safe. " - Impressive, as there is no reason to assume that, and plenty of reason to assume the opposite.

2020-12-07 22:53:03 UTC

what they are advocating is making billion of dollars.

2020-12-07 22:53:23 UTC

that kind of hubris makes me want to be last in line for said vaccine

2020-12-07 22:53:44 UTC

How old are you?

2020-12-07 22:53:56 UTC

roughly

2020-12-07 22:53:57 UTC

54

if I was 70+ I would probably want to be first in line
