@RobertGrulerEsq I dont remember what you said that reminded me of this real life event. But: Back when I was truck driving, I had to hang out the door to make sure I didn't hit anything in turn. They had cast iron street lights against the curb where I was making my turn. The State Trooper backed up to give me room, and then after the turn, followed me out of town to write me a ticket for the 20 seconds I wasn't wearing a seat belt. So, I asked him,"I thought the 13th Amendment made it illegal to chain or bind a man to his place of enmployment." The Trooper dropped off the side of my truck and walked away.
