Getting an FFL is very difficult, because you have to set up an actual business. The ATF frowns on home based FFLs. Remember you have to have permission to run that type of business out of your home as far as zoning, and HOAs go. New full autos were banned from registration in 1986 due to the hughs amendment (thank you Reagan :/) So if it was not registered prior to the registration date, you cannot own it as an individual. There are a finite amount of FA guns in the registry so they are pricey. I agree 100% the NFA is a travesty and is unconstitutional. Hope this helps š
If you want basic income then you would means test it. But I would only be in favor of it was replacing other safety nets and was directly budgeted based on a funds left over after everything else was taken care of. And preferably still incentivized some work.
Wait until all the government strings attached to verify you for peanuts
Also if you have NFA items the ATF can request to inspect them pretty much at their will. It is a wierd quirk in the law, that you relinquish some privacy rights.
That helps a lot, thanks @blaisenguns
Maybe open to the Public on premises.
Thatās what I had heard. I dislike this trade of rights.
Proof of Registration: A person possessing a firearm registered as required by the NFA shall retain proof of registration which shall be made available to any ATF officer
upon request
@blaisenguns can a holder of a FFL sell Door to Door?
right, UBI and minimum wage are just different ways of biasing the economy, do it once and it resets everything and the markets adjust and you're back to where you were at before with lots of market shake-up and not much to show for it, want to force a desired outcome then you got to keep forcing the market, keep raising the minimum wage which keeps raising the first rung on the ladder to employment where there is a minimum wage and keeps making shipping jobs to where there is a lower or non-existent minimum wage, etc. Raise UBI and the prices just adjust accordingly ... but I'm idiot and what do I know
Imo there should be no licensing for autos, concealed carry or purchase. And if someone is a threat you donāt punish everyone else for the risk they pose. But now that we have elected this great new leader, more popular than Obama or any president before, we will be lucky to have semi-autos without registering them to the government
100000% agree. all gun laws are an infringement.
@meglide unfortunately, one of the quickest ways of becoming an Idiot is accepting the fact that you are one?
Are you a counselor of some sort? I mean it sounds like advice I heard about not having negative thoughts. It was good advice I am just curious what your profession is. I may have missed where you stated it.
correct but as much of an idiot as I am, I don't trust that someone else knows what to set the UBI or minimum wage at such that bad things don't happen ... or in other words from one idiot to another, prove to me you're not a bigger idiot
You in not meant in the singular context.
Of course he is. He is clearly Dr. Phil lol
I am a Professor of Psychology-Law.
I knew I recognized that face š
I am not sure what that means but it sounds like you know a lot about something. Is it law around psychology or is it the psychology of law?
I believe Public Policy and Laws can have a major impact on Human Behavior. I strive to show how such can and do have a Psychological impact.
You have a book?
Because I would buy that book.
Unfortunately this is not my real name for personal reasons. The Internet can have detrimental effects on "Rate Your Professor" and online complaints to my University from Online Trolls.
Understandable.
Well that sounds interesting, and I would be interested in reading further about it. š¤·āāļø I listen to Jordan Peterson alot.
Rate my professor is basically: are they hot? Are they easy graders? š
I have seen good professors get bad ratings because they actually tested the students on material
I do have Books and I have been published in Peer Review Publications. Which is basically meaningless and not meant as coming from a Position of Authority. I personally detest anyone who uses that as a Position in a Debate or Discussion.
Maybe titles, but peer reviewed publications are more than positions of authority. Letās say I know nothing about psychology (which is true) and you tell me some theory. It definitely carries more weight if I can verify your peers have read this theory and found it sufficiently valid to endorse its publication. Unless the peer reviewed journal is suspect. Like that fiasco with those 3 professors that had their gibberish published. But that was just hilarious.
So I guess for me it would depend on who your peers are.
I will repeat my post from earlier today....
Education or Experience is usually best used as a Tool and not a Weapon in a Debate if your objective is to inform Others.
I guess I would say that no weapon is useful if you are arguing to win. I am not a lawyer so I donāt value arguing or persuasion as much as everyone else here. Either I am stating something I know or I am trying to learn. If I am trying to learn I generally have the attitude I know nothing about the subject.
SOTs/FFLs allow you to bypass all of title II restrictions in a lot of classes correct?
My motivation is not Winning.
I shouldnāt say arguing isnāt useful, I just donāt find it useful for me to practice.
Yeah thatās fair, I didnāt think it was. I am more just saying if someone has peer reviewed publications I am adding more weight to what they say.
I would rather convince someone through Logic and Reasoning than conformation of my words from Others.
