@blaisenguns can a holder of a FFL sell Door to Door?

2020-12-22 21:44:40 UTC

right, UBI and minimum wage are just different ways of biasing the economy, do it once and it resets everything and the markets adjust and you're back to where you were at before with lots of market shake-up and not much to show for it, want to force a desired outcome then you got to keep forcing the market, keep raising the minimum wage which keeps raising the first rung on the ladder to employment where there is a minimum wage and keeps making shipping jobs to where there is a lower or non-existent minimum wage, etc. Raise UBI and the prices just adjust accordingly ... but I'm idiot and what do I know

Imo there should be no licensing for autos, concealed carry or purchase. And if someone is a threat you don’t punish everyone else for the risk they pose. But now that we have elected this great new leader, more popular than Obama or any president before, we will be lucky to have semi-autos without registering them to the government

2020-12-22 21:45:28 UTC

100000% agree. all gun laws are an infringement.

2020-12-22 21:47:31 UTC

@meglide unfortunately, one of the quickest ways of becoming an Idiot is accepting the fact that you are one?

2020-12-22 21:48:51 UTC

Are you a counselor of some sort? I mean it sounds like advice I heard about not having negative thoughts. It was good advice I am just curious what your profession is. I may have missed where you stated it.

2020-12-22 21:49:51 UTC

correct but as much of an idiot as I am, I don't trust that someone else knows what to set the UBI or minimum wage at such that bad things don't happen ... or in other words from one idiot to another, prove to me you're not a bigger idiot

2020-12-22 21:49:54 UTC

You in not meant in the singular context.

2020-12-22 21:50:40 UTC

Of course he is. He is clearly Dr. Phil lol

2020-12-22 21:50:50 UTC

I am a Professor of Psychology-Law.

2020-12-22 21:50:55 UTC

I knew I recognized that face 😂

2020-12-22 21:51:47 UTC

I am not sure what that means but it sounds like you know a lot about something. Is it law around psychology or is it the psychology of law?

2020-12-22 21:53:19 UTC

I believe Public Policy and Laws can have a major impact on Human Behavior. I strive to show how such can and do have a Psychological impact.

2020-12-22 21:53:37 UTC

You have a book?

2020-12-22 21:53:49 UTC

Because I would buy that book.

2020-12-22 21:54:30 UTC

the one he couldn't help

2020-12-22 21:57:00 UTC

Unfortunately this is not my real name for personal reasons. The Internet can have detrimental effects on "Rate Your Professor" and online complaints to my University from Online Trolls.

2020-12-22 21:57:25 UTC

Understandable.

2020-12-22 21:58:00 UTC

Well that sounds interesting, and I would be interested in reading further about it. 🤷‍♂️ I listen to Jordan Peterson alot.

2020-12-22 21:59:06 UTC

Rate my professor is basically: are they hot? Are they easy graders? 😂

2020-12-22 21:59:46 UTC

I have seen good professors get bad ratings because they actually tested the students on material

2020-12-22 22:01:41 UTC

I do have Books and I have been published in Peer Review Publications. Which is basically meaningless and not meant as coming from a Position of Authority. I personally detest anyone who uses that as a Position in a Debate or Discussion.

2020-12-22 22:05:12 UTC

Maybe titles, but peer reviewed publications are more than positions of authority. Let’s say I know nothing about psychology (which is true) and you tell me some theory. It definitely carries more weight if I can verify your peers have read this theory and found it sufficiently valid to endorse its publication. Unless the peer reviewed journal is suspect. Like that fiasco with those 3 professors that had their gibberish published. But that was just hilarious.

2020-12-22 22:05:36 UTC

So I guess for me it would depend on who your peers are.

2020-12-22 22:06:24 UTC

I will repeat my post from earlier today....
Education or Experience is usually best used as a Tool and not a Weapon in a Debate if your objective is to inform Others.

2020-12-22 22:08:57 UTC

I guess I would say that no weapon is useful if you are arguing to win. I am not a lawyer so I don’t value arguing or persuasion as much as everyone else here. Either I am stating something I know or I am trying to learn. If I am trying to learn I generally have the attitude I know nothing about the subject.

2020-12-22 22:09:00 UTC

SOTs/FFLs allow you to bypass all of title II restrictions in a lot of classes correct?

2020-12-22 22:09:45 UTC

My motivation is not Winning.

2020-12-22 22:09:45 UTC

I shouldn’t say arguing isn’t useful, I just don’t find it useful for me to practice.

2020-12-22 22:11:39 UTC

Yeah that’s fair, I didn’t think it was. I am more just saying if someone has peer reviewed publications I am adding more weight to what they say.

2020-12-22 22:11:40 UTC

I would rather convince someone through Logic and Reasoning than conformation of my words from Others.

2020-12-22 22:12:13 UTC

Look above.

2020-12-22 22:12:34 UTC

Also fair but some things may not be immediately accessible to laymans.

2020-12-22 22:14:11 UTC

I wasn’t trying to say your point was wrong just pointing out my thought process.

2020-12-22 22:15:29 UTC

Accepting Wisdom from a Person solely based upon a Pedigree may be unwise or unworthy.

2020-12-22 22:16:35 UTC

Sadly logic is often almost always inductive.

2020-12-22 22:20:14 UTC

I didn't take your comments as an insult and your thoughts are welcome. It's about exchanging thoughts and ideas not about making impressions of Worth or Winning. I still have an Eraser on my Pencil and I still use it.

2020-12-22 22:21:14 UTC

The reason it's almost always inductive is that there are so many variables to complex questions that people have to resort to inductive reasoning due to lacking omnipotence.

2020-12-22 22:23:19 UTC

Valid deductive reasoning is practically final. Valid inductive reasoning is easy to combat.
